Rishu was behind the wickets
During time-out, he couldn't help but remember the incident that happened during the 1st innings- How his Mahi Bhai was taking care of Prithvi
He obviously doesn't mind Bhai removing dust from his eyes.....but Bhai even came during the break just to ask if Prithvi was fine
And the fact that he didn't even ask about him, was stuck in Rishu's head
Wen Ms came down to bat....much to Rishu's horror...he took the catch of his Mahi Bhai. He was simply horrified. Even though everyone rushed to him, he couldn't help but feel miserable that he was responsible for the wicket of his Mahi Bhai.😞😞😞
As soon as the match ended, Rishu rushed to find Bhai......However he saw, Bhai scolding Prithvi for stepping out so much, and then as Prithvi snuggled to him, Bhai had an amicable expression
Rishu(in his head): Why is bhai holding Prithvi that way, isn't he supposed to hold me that way; why is he scolding him...Bhai toh sirf mujhe daant te hai.....😖😖😖😖
And no matter how much the DC camp was happy for their consecutive victory, Rishu couldn't help but feel miserable at the thought of being replaced in his bhai's life
Shreyas: Oyee...tereko kya hua??? Ajaa.....
And much against himself, Rishu snapped at Shreyas making him also go bonkers
Later that night, Shreyas received a call from a very concerned elder brother, who's phone was not being received by his Adopted Kiddo
Shreyas: Haan Bhai...Kya hua??
Bhai: Baccha...Rishu hai kya?? I have been calling him for so long, even on the field jab maine bulaya he went away into the bus without talking
Shreyas: Pataa nahi Bhai, pataa hai he even shouted at me
And Shreyas was already on the way to Rishu's room complaining about how much Rishu and Prithvi have troubled him, as Ms listened in peace....
Rishu opened the door owing to Shreyas's not-so-civilised knocking,
Rishu: Tere paas dimaag nahi hai yeh pataa hai sabko, aise knock karke prove karne ki zaroorat nahi hai
Shreyas: (for once deciding to not insult back) Tu bhai ka phone kyun nahi utha raha hai??
Rishu: Mereko nahi karni unse baat.....😒😒
Shreyas just stuffed the phone into Rishu's hand who was initially confused and then shocked as he saw Bhai's call...
Shreyas(as he was leaving): Sunn sone se pehle mera phone charge pe lagaa dena
And a certain Rishu stood in the lobby cursing his Captain, who apparently is useless, idiot, duffer, has no-civil sense at all.....🙄🙄🙄🙄
His rant broke as he heard Bhai's voice, and he was in all mood to cut the call
But Bhai knows all.....
Bhai: Dont you dare cut my call. And tell me why you don't want to talk to me??
Rishu: Aapko kya??😒😒😒 Aap jao na......aapke pass bohot log hai.....go and take care of them
Bhai: Risshhuuuu...who are these 'log'?😐😐😐
Rishu: As if you don't know😠😠😠
Bhai: Rishu...baccha....kiddoooo.....
Rishu: Aap jaaooo...aap usse bulao kiddo.....woh abhi aapka baccha ban gaya hai na...aap ko bass wahi dikhta hai.....Usske aankh mein dust chala gaya, woh crease se jyada bahar nikal gaya. Baaki toh koi hai hi nahi field pe...
And Mahi had to really use all his strength to not burst out laughing,
As Rishu was done with all his complaints against 'Woh'.....
Bhai: Kiddooo......Prithvi se abhi sabko bohot ummedein hai, and he shouldn't feel the pressure...thats why I was talking to him and encouraging him. Aur tu toh iss pressure se guzzar chuka hai. Aur who agar crease je waise niklega toh who galat hai naa....issiliye toh maine daanta, so that he is careful from the next time. And he shouldn't feel bad, right, that he got stumped? Kya maine galat kiya??
And Rishu didn't have an answer.....now when Bhai is explaining, it all makes sense why Bhai 1st talked or took care of Prithvi
Bhai: And kiddo...today the catch you took off me...aur the way u ran out- Rutu....was so good. You are playing so beautifully, bacha. I am proud of you.
And Rishu's face lit up like a 220 W Bulb, 'Sacchi Bhai??? You are proud of me??'
Bhai: Haan bacche....and I love you so much. Bacchaa...you are always special to me, lekin jab koi aur galti kaare isn't it my responsibility to correct them
And Rishu realising how stupid he was,. 'Woh...I am sorry...I just got....'
Bhai: I know....worked up...and that's ok. Always remember you are very special to me.
Rishu: But I want to meet you nowwww....I am missing you so baddd😞😞😞
Bhai: Baccha...abhi toh mile(giving an incredulous expression)
Rishu: Nooooooo
Bhai: Ok...ok....let the IPL finish, you come with me to Ranchi.
And Rishu jumped up on his bed, making a full brochure on what all he would do with Bhai once he is in Ranchi....
And that's how a jealous kid became an excited kid.
This is another attempt of mine to write on the new team. I love Mahi-Rishu bond a lot...they are one of my fav bonds in the new team!!! Do tell me how it is.
