MAYA

Walking down the aisle to marry a man I don't love nor do I know that well, and it makes me think of changing my mind but then I think of my family, my dad, my sister, nephew, my brothers, the why my mom is dead..

It makes me want to marry him but can I do it? Can I sacrifice my happiness? Of course I can, cause my family is happy that way.

I know he doesn't love me and I don't expect him to. What about my son? Is Caden is going to treat him right? Is he going to be mean to him?

I was so lost in thought I didn't know we were at the alter, my dad kisses my forehead and gives Caden my hand and we listen to the priest. And before I know it we are at the i do's

"Caden James Russo do you take Maya Lynn Santos to be your wife?" The priest asked "I do" Caden replied at least he didn't hesitate. "Maya lynn santos do you take Caden James Russo to be your husband?" The priest asked me.. the only answer I can say is.. "I do"

"I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride" as the words left his mouth Caden pulled me in to him and kissed me like no tomorrow.. and I kissed back enjoying the taste of his lips on mine.

A couple minutes later the kiss ended and everyone was clapping and cheering. My son Carter ran and hugged my legs, Caden picked him up and hugged us both, looking at this man whom I only met a few months ago is already showing love to my son when his father never did..

Maybe a part of me can love him but I'm afraid...
