First and second period was boring as expected. All I could think about was seeing Arlo again. I guess you could say he's...intriguing.

Lunch came after what felt like forever.

Maybe he'll sit with me again today?

"Fia" I was pulled out of my thoughts.

I looked up to see Arlo and his bright smile.

"O-Oh Arlo" I stuttered out.

"Care if I sit with you," he asked.

"Do as you'd like" I said trying to keep my cool exterior.

Why does he have this effect on me?

"What is it you're reading today?" he said eyeing my book as he sat down.

"To Kill a Mockingbird," I said avoiding eye contact.

"Things are never as bad as they seem" he quoted the book.

"Is your only reply to anything I say from a book?"

"Hmm not always I presume," he said with a smirk plastered on his face.

I rolled my eyes while closing my book and setting it to the side.

"Why do you talk to me" I questioned.

"Well, I find you rather...Intriguing" he said looking up and into my eyes. We held eye contact until he blushed and looked away.

"Is that so" I teased.

"Tis' so" he chuckled still avoiding contact.

"Well I'm sorry but I must be going now, Fia," he said while standing up and gathering his things.

"So soon" I smirked.

"Meet me on the roof after school," he said before walking away.

Why?

After what felt like an eternity I made my way up the stairs that led to the roof. I stopped before the door that led outside and let out a long shaky breath.

I opened the door and sat my bag by the exit. He wasn't here yet so I took a seat and watched the sky for the time being.

I head the door open and turned around to meet eyes with the devil himself.

"Arlo," I said.

"Sorry for the wait, Fia," He said while sitting his bag by mine and making his way towards me.

"It's rude to make a girl wait," I said jokingly.

"My apologizes madam," He said planting himself beside me.

"Why did you ask to meet here, Arlo" I questioned.

"I enjoy your existence," he said meeting my gaze.

"How odd" I stated.

"What is" he questioned.

"I seem to be annoyed by yours" I laughed.

"How rude," he said in a dramatic tone.

The sun was starting to set at this time. The colors blended to form a beautiful pink and purple plastered sky.

"You see, one loves the sunset when one is so sad." he quoted.

"You read The Little Prince?" I asked.

"Why of course" he turned and met my gaze. "I certainly see why you have an attachment to it." he chuckled.

We sat watching the sky until it was dark and the only light was the moon. Mostly in silence, but it was nice. Just his presence is nice.

I laid my head on his shoulder while trying to keep my eyes open.

"Arlo"

"Yes?"

"Please don't leave me" I murmured.

"I didn't plan to," he said.

And with that I let sleep devour me.
