"Happy birthday, Celestia!" Mom exclaimed, waking me up.
"Oh, yeah. I almost forgot." I replied. She sat on the corner of my bed and handed me a shiny black box. I opened it, and inside there was a small leather notebook. It was kind of a let down, to be honest.
"Now, what did you really want for your birthday?" She asked. I smiled weakly.
"I wanted a dress, actually. It was a cream one with black embroidery." She took the pen from my nightstand and wrote, "cream dress with black embroidery" and there it was, hanging on a hook on my wall. "Woah! That's amazing! Thank you, mom." I hugged her tightly before she went to make breakfast.
Later today I was to meet up with my friends, so I put on my new dress, a pair of black shoes and with a flick of my wrist, my raven hair was curled and perfect. Having magic was fun. I never want to leave the Enchanted forest.
"You look beautiful." Father said, hugging me tightly.
"I can't believe you're 15". Roland commented and I laughed.
"I'll catch up to you one day." I joked.
He handed me a plate of food and returned, "I'm not sure that's how it works."
I met Mirabella, Piper, and Violette at the town square that morning. "Happy birthday!" Vi chirped as I grabbed a chair for our table. We shared a cake and I opened their gifts.
"Have you heard yet, Celestia?" Piper asked.
"Heard about what?" Mirabella leaned forward, about to tell a secret.
"I think Alexander likes you." I raised my eyebrows. Alexander was a soft spoken, shy Prince from another land. The first time I saw him I was head over heels.
"Anyway, my mother, she gave me this book. It's magical, and anything you want you write in it and it appears." I told them.
"Prove it," Piper said, fascinated.
"What should I write?" I inquired, opening the book.
"I want my true love!" Mira said, half serious. I smiled as I wrote, "Mirabella's true love" yet nothing happened. Well, something did happen. Lightning struck and rain began to fall.
"Weird. Lets get inside." Piper ushered. We went inside a small boutique and gawked at dresses until the door blew open. A boy with light brown hair and a devious smile stood before us.
"Can, can I help you?" The shopkeeper asked. The boy used magic to slam her against the wall. "No, thanks love," He replied.
I raised my hand to cast a spell to freeze him, but he struck me first with powerful magic. Dark magic, much stronger than mine. I collapsed on the floor and the last I saw was my three friends gasping, Piper sheathing a blade.
