The vampires and werewolves are mingling in the courtyard, having drinks and trying to enjoy themselves despite the fact that they're trapped together. Gia wanders around the room with a bottle of bourbon, filling up people's glasses. Above them on the balcony, Hayley is watching everyone. After a moment I join her amd sje smiles weakly at me before turning her attention back to the courtyard. "Worried about your wolves" I ask her and she looks at me blankly "or, perhaps the source of your anxiety is a little further from home? How is Elijah, by the way? I'm sure he found your visit most curative" I said with a small smile.

Hayley looks embarrassed "ew, no". I continue to look at her, a smirk on my face, and she eventually caves. "That obvious, huh" she says and clears her throat awkwardly, and I laugh at her. "Well, you both had a certain glow about you all morning. Frankly, I'm glad the two of you dropped your pretenses and, uh, shall we say, let the spirit move you". I couldn't help but laugh even harder but soon stop when Hayley hits me before laughing as well.

"Okay, okay, okay, stop, enough! This family is weird enough already. Speaking of family why don't you just marry Star" Hayley said and looks back down at the wolves, making me look at her confused. Hayley looks at me, seeing my confusion "it's very clear that you two aren't going anywhere without each other, what, she doesn't want to get married" Hayley asks?

I sighed "when did this turn to me" "it's always about you Klaus" Hayley said and I can't help but smile a little. "Star once wanted to get married, in fact, I thought after she left that you would, but sounds like she changed her mind about everything" I said. "That, or she realized that she would never get it with the person she truly loved" Hayley said and glanced at me as my smile was long gone. Hayley's face suddenly grow serious as she watches Jackson down below, who has grabbed his own bottle of whiskey and has settled himself in a chair next to some fellow werewolves.

"To change the subject back to you, you're feeling guilty, aren't you? Wondering if you should tell your betrothed things he doesn't need to know. From all the poems written on the subject of unrequited love, there are so few on the pain of being the object of that affection. The truth is, Hayley, it's not love on which the strongest foundations are built. It's the decency of merciful lies" I say before walking away.

I walk into Star's room to see her sitting on her bed, writing something down in a book. "Writing in your diary again love" I asked with a smile and lay next to her, making her chuckle "well I have a lot to write about. But I won't be able to write much since no one can be quiet" she says, her voice growing louder and looks at the door, talking about the noise downstairs. I laugh at her and she sighs, giving up and sets her diary down, grabbing a bottle of some kind of drink.

I look at the bottle "Kol's drink" I asked confused as she moves her mouth away from the bottle after taking a sip. "Well he wasn't drinking it; this is good though" she says and looks at the bottle before taking another drink. "Fighting the cravings" I asked her "considering theirs a room full of half wolves and half vampires, yes" Star says as I hear Davina and Kol trying a spell to get us out of here. The place shakes a little "sounds like freedom" I said and get off the bed as Star follows.

"I assume that means we're all free to go" I say as I walk down the stairs with Star behind me, still holding her bottle. "No, the spell's locking us out, is that my drink" Kol asks and Star looks at Kol, never taking her eyes off of him as she takes another swig of it. "Vincent must be channeling something. A dark object, maybe" Davina says, making me frustrated and concerned. Suddenly my phones goes off and I check to see it's Elijah. I walk into the hallway to be alone.
