Dandelion.

The fluff is slowly withering away-
There goes the dandelion.
It was too sweet while it stayed
Until the wind took it away.
The wind was more promising
Than my grip could ever be.
All is left is the stalk-
The only proof of its presence.
It is too beautiful,
The dandelion,
Watching it fly away
Farther from me
Right in front of my eyes
Was painful, yet beautiful-
To see it's feathers sparkle in
The sunlight.
It was painful to watch it go,
But I know for sure that
It'll land some place better,
Some place brighter,
Some place more comfortable,
Some place more understood.
That's the only thing
That's making my heart let go
Of my pretty dandelion.
I'll make sure I don't let go of the stalk
For that's the only thing I have.
Oh, my pretty dandelion,
Why did the shining wind
Take you away.
But I am thankful, anyways
Because the wind is better than
The flames, that could've been worse.
Oh, my pretty dandelion,
I hope I'll see you again.
