POTIONS WAS DRAGGING on, she had had double potions today the first and lass class of the day and Amara found herself bored, and she didn't like how Professor Slughorn taught his students and his obvious favouritism towards a handful of them which never included Amara despite both her parents being high up in the ministry and having well-paid jobs Amara was never asked to be part of the group, but she didn't mind not being apart of the Slug Club, because a lot of people hated her for things that weren't in her control.

Not that she was complaining, she hated people anyway

When Slughorn dismissed the class of rowdy teens, Amara couldn't help but let a sigh of relief pass through her lips as she packed her stuff away before pushing her way out of the class, and when people realised that it was her that had pushed them any comment that they may have died in their throats, eyes cast downwards -- not many people were willing to stand up to Amara Hayes.

But it was just her luck before she could make her way to her next class Amara ran into none other than the Mauradors, causing the sandy-haired boy to let out a squeak and cling to the back of the werewolf's robes and Amara seriously considered just rolling her eyes and walking away but before she could, none other than Sirius Black caught her arm

"So you aren't going to apologise for running into us?" Sirus asked

Amara didn't indulge him with a retort, she wasn't even supposed to be talking to the blood traitor and his friends, but she kept her face impassive not showing the anger boiling in her gut and she shakes her head. The little bit of hair that had been slung messily into a ponytail had fallen out and she immediately scowled trying to push little bits of baby hair back into the ponytail and Sirius seemed to notice she wasn't going to talk to the boys in front of her

"Oh yeah that's right, you're not supposed to talk to us right? We're just blood-traitors in your families eyes right?" Sirius jeered as he pointed at the boys around him but they didn't seem as interested in the fight as he was, but then again they didn't know about Amara and Sirius's history. Or at least she thought they didn't

"Sirus. Calm down a Slytherin isn't worth it" James Potter says, putting a hand on Sirius's shoulder in an effort to calm him down and surprisingly the sulking teenager listens to James and shrinks back before glaring at Amara and turning away, his group of followers doing what they do best and following him

Amara lets out a shaky breath as she tries to put herself back together, worms curled in her stomach and her chest felt heavy like a weight was sitting on her chest that she couldn't move. Why the hell did she feel this way and why did it hurt so much?

Instead, she pulled herself together and walked back towards the Slytherin Common Room hoping to get some sleep in before dinner. It was only the first day of classes and she was already exhausted, putting so much pressure on herself to perform to do well. Her parents disappointed frown when Maxwell got less than a E still haunted her mind

Of course, it seemed like Merlin wasn't on her side today as just when she entered into the dungeons, she bumped into the same girl she had before and immediately recognising Amara, a blush spread on her dark cheeks and once again she obediently started to apologise as if she was some kind of dog that wouldn't stop yapping at Amara's feet but Amara cut her off before she could get too far

"Just watch where you're going, okay?"

With all that Amara wanted to say being said, Amara was fully prepared to walk away without digging in an insult or two like she normally did when people got in her way but the Hufflepuff didn't seem to have the same thoughts as she grabbed Amara's elbow and pulled her back gently before she could get too far away

"Sorry for dragging you back but I assumed if I shouted you would have just ignored me"

Ah, always the politeness with Hufflepuff isn't it? I bet they're always adding pleases and thank yous. She wasn't exactly wrong though and nothing was keeping Amara from just walking away, but something was holding in place. Whether it was curiosity or selfishness ( although Amara supposed they were the same thing ) she wanted to see what the dark-haired girl was going to say

"Going to say something then? Or stand there all day"

"Uh...Uh I'm sorry, but I saw you talking with James and Sirius earlier and you seemed upset so I came to see whether you were okay" She tells Amara with a careful tone and a small smile

"I'm fine you can go get your badge to say you've earned your kindness for today!"

"It was just a question, I just wanted to see if your alright because most people would just walk by you because their scared of you and don't want to be anywhere near you so maybe instead of pushing away the one person willing to actually talk to you, you could be a little nicer to me!"

"Oh and I suppose I should thank you?"

"Well you don't have to but not insulting me or swinging out a sarcastic comment every now and then would be a good" The dark-skinned girl snapped and honestly Amara was shocked that someone would speak to her in that way, normally she would be the one to speak to people like that, but Amara must admit she definatly underestmated the girl as she thought all Hufflepuff were weak pushovers but to talk to Amara in that way took some guts.

"Okay. I can try"

"Tell me what's going on. I'm Estelle by the way. I can tell we're going to be good friends"
