1} The absolute hands down, best thing about Jason is his acceptance of Nico. In House of Hades, we learn [or have our suspicions confirmed] that Nico Di'Angelo, son of Hades is gay. He is forced to say this by Eros [or Cupid] the god of love, in front of Jason. Jason however, accepts Nico for who he is and says he'll keep Nico's secret. He even urges Nico to tell the others on the Argo II, claiming that they'll understand. Jason's love and acceptance of Nico is touching, and adds something more to Jason's 'good things' column.
2} Not even the most devoted Jason hater can deny that Jason Grace is hot. With blonde hair, blue eyes and a chiseled face, he might not compare to Percy, but Jason has got some serious looks.
3} He hates Octavian [must I say more]
4} He is good at being nice to people
5} He tows his own weight and pitches in with the work
