The Fragile Heart

What is life without love

Love is a blessing

LIke rain on dry crops

Or spice to a bland meal

But love is also fragile

As a newborn or thin glass

One must treat love gently

As soft as a feather that falls from the sly

Be careful with your love

The love you give, give cautiously

The love you get, treat carefully

Love is the best of feeling

Though mistreatment of love

It causes the worst of feelings

A heart break into jagged pieces

Leaving little hope for reconstruction

Only someone who knows your heart best

Is the one who can put it back together
