Part 1:

I stepped out of our house, stumbling on the step before jogging after Cedric across the green grass. The sky was clear and the sun beat down onto us, forcing me to squint.

"Get off the grass!" My brother yelled, I ignored him and continued to run across the dew coated garden.

"How are we getting to the station?" I asked, we lived in the countryside quite far from London which wasn't convenient when travelling to school.

"Port key." He responded.

I groaned and my cat, Monty, mewed in his carrier. He was a long hair tortoise shell kitten who loved cuddles and cheese.

"Yes Monty I know you don't like them." Cedric poked his finger through the carrier and stroked Monty's fluffy head.

"We should get going Ced, I don't want to miss the train!"

"It's fine! This is my 5th year at Hogwarts, we're not going to miss it."

I re-gripped my trunk in my hand, and made sure Monty's carrier wasn't going to open during the use of the portkey.

"Got your wand?" Cedric asked, raising his eyebrows. My eyes grew wide as I dropped my trunk, handed Monty to my brother and rushed back into the house.

"What have you forgotten now?" Dad asked.

"My wand!" I exclaimed, panicked. I heard him chuckle as I stomped up the wooden steps.

Rushing into my room I saw the wand on my bed. I grabbed it and ran back downstairs, smiled at my dad and reached the port key out of breath.

"Ready Kas?" Cedric asked, beaming.

I nodded, smiling back before placing my hand on the boot with him.

Cedric twisted before me, colours mixing and churning around, my body felt light and my head airy, I squeezed my eyes shut until I felt hard ground beneath my feet.

Diagon Alley.

"Hey! You didn't fall over!" Cedric mocked, pointing at my feet.

"Shut up Cedric it took you till 4th year to master using port keys." I retorted

"Fair enough." He sighed, handing back Monty to me.

"Hey guys!" It was Cho, Cedric's friend.

"Hi Cho!" His face lit up at the sight of her. It was so obvious that he fancied her, I rolled my eyes.

"Hi Cho." I smiled at her, she was smart and kind so I wouldn't have minded if they did go out.

"Kassima! I haven't seen you in months!" She exclaimed, smiling brightly.

I shrugged. "We must just miss each other in the halls."

Her and Cedric began talking and laughing so my mind wandered off, recalling the last time I was here...

-FLASHBACK-

I was wandering around Diagon alley at the start of 2nd year when I saw a huge crowd of people outside Flourish and Blots, the windows of the building filled with copies of Gilderoy Lockheart's new book, Magical Me.

I pushed through the swarm to see what everyone was looking at, ascending the stairs of the bookshop to get a better view. Below me was Gilderoy Lockheart stood with Harry, Harry was one of my friends due to shared classes, and the look of discomfort on his face made me feel a pang of sympathy for him.

In the crowd, I spotted a few of the Weasleys and Hermione, all of them watching Gilderoy rant on about his book.

"What are you doing here Diggory?" Someone snarled.
