Twenty Eight

Haibara is awake from her sleep as she quickly sits on the bed. Her body is sweating as her heart beating fast. She recalls the dream earlier, it was another true past of her. The shrunken woman hugs her own body. She shifts her face to the windows as she looks outside. It's already dawn.

How funny, she thought to herself. The fact that she is awake at the same time as her dream end is crazy. She doesn't even know how is that even possible. She hugs herself tight under the blanket while looking out through the window.

The touch from her dream earlier feels real somehow. The touch, the feelings, the affection and the emotion, everything feels real. She needs something warm to make her feels better as the blanket doesn't help much. She needs someone- someone that could make her warm.

She needs someone that could hug and cuddle with her after she feels the euphoria hit her. How she missed that moment a lot. The girl doesn't realize that she hugs herself even tighter than before. She can't describe how much she missed that kind of touch and the affection.

The shrunken woman did miss his touch. She misses that a lot. She wants to feel those touches on her again. She wants to feel the warmth that surrounds her during cold dawn and the cold midnight. She wants to feel the affection that she experiences with one another at the time.

Oh, she misses that a lot.

The girl knows that she can do nothing at this moment. Instead, she takes a deep breath as she still looks through the window. She only waits for the right time to arrive. She knows it will come someday- she knows she'll meet Gin again. The only thing that concerns her is that how she will settle this.

She still has a dilemma whether to return to the organization or to fight them. She did have a great time with the kids, Hakase, Kudo, and other people around her right now. She had a really great time with them as she can experience how a normal person lives.

At the same time, she did have a great time during her time in the organization- she even got raised there. There's something in her heart that belongs to the organization.

She hates this- to choose where to side with.

She never likes to make a choice. The two choices will change her life drastically. She needs to think fast as she knows she doesn't have much time- yet she is still unsure. Everything is still unclear for her to make choices.

The girl lost track of time as she was deeply in thought. Her mind and her heart keep fighting each other to be the winner. As she is totally deep in thought, she got interrupted by Ayumi.

"Ai chan, you're awake? what time is it already?" said Ayumi as she rubbed her eyes.

"Yeah, I am awake" said Haibara as she looks at the clock. It's already 8 in the morning. She doesn't realize that time was moving fast. She admits that she did lose in thought a lot recently. She also thinks that Conan already noticed this behaviour of her.

"It's already 8. I think we should get ready since we'll be back home today" said Haibara. Ayumi just nods her head as she rubs her eyes. Ayumi stretches her body before she gets off the bed and starts to get ready. Haibara on the other hand does the same thing. She packs her belongings and gets ready to leave the place.

After the two of them finish, they step out of the room and wait for the others to finish packing their things. As everyone is ready, they check out from the resort and they have another car ride for them to back home.

"I wish we could come here again" said Mitsuhiko. Genta and Ayumi agree with him.

Haibara did enjoy her time there. She did have a great time playing with them at the waterpark. She can't believe that she'll go to the waterpark ever again just to have some fun and to kill her time.

She will value this time with them a lot since they did make her feels how normal child spend their time. When she was in the organization, she spent most of her time studying- she can say that she barely remembers any great time that she spent during her childhood.

She also realise that the kids and people around her changed her into a better and soft person. They did change her to open up with them and to be a little soft to them- even though she was still a little cold with them.

It's totally opposite with herself when she was in the organization. She was cold most of the time and she doesn't open up to people much. She was cautious with people around her and didn't put any trust in anybody that she just met.

Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko, Ran and Conan did change her a lot. They do teach her to put her trust in someone and open up to people. They do show her how to live a normal life and show her how great it is.

The girl looks outside through her window as she appreciates the view in her eyes. Once again, she lost in her own thought. Somehow, she finds it funny that how different worlds can be from different sides and perspectives. The world has a different view and is unique on its way.

Still, Haibara still doesn't have any decision to make at the moment. She is trapped in her own mind to make decisions. Her feelings and mind keep fighting each other- with the dream of her pasts that keep haunting her don't make it any better.

She needs to think carefully about this because this is the path of her life- that holds her future. She wishes she can go to the future and see which choices that she made and does she live happily? That wishes of her are impossible, totally impossible to make it come true.

As for now, she just only want to focus on the time. The right moment will come and she shall make her own decisions.

Haibara still looks through the window as she appreciates the view. As she stares through the window, she slowly closes her eyes as she drifts off to have a quick nap- since she didn't get a good sleep last night.
