ELLIE LOWERED HER BURGUNDY SCARF A PINCH, tipping her head back as she drained the remainders of her chai latte.
today would mark the first official day of school, the celebrations and orientations long having ended last week.
part of her was nervous, having been moved up a class this year — which meant her studies would be more challenging, and the loss of several friends. luckily she still had kosei along with shinji, seijoh's libero.. though ellie couldn't say she was very close with him.
perhaps it was time to make new friends; create new bonds, and expand her horizons. it could be something nice and worth trying.
a sigh left her lips at the thought followed by an eye roll. "yeah, right."
"talking to yourself again?"
"HYACK-!" natsukashi blurted out in surprise, the coffee cup having left her hands as it shot into the air — centimeters from her head.

shocked, ellie stepped away from the object, turning to face who had called out to her as she blinked.

the girl, nayomi, carried a sarcastic expression on her visage before letting out an airy laugh, sticking her tongue out a bit. "surprised to see me?" she asked, tossing the emptied beverage back to her stunned friend.
awakening from her trance, the brunette lunged forward to catch the bottle, rubbing her eyes in disbelief. "surprised??" ellie repeated sardonically, questioning the curly haired girl for even thinking that. "i think awestruck is a better word to describe whatever the hell i'm feeling. what're you doing out here??" one thing was for certain that despite being in the same prefecture, aoba johsai was a good way's trip from karasuno, especially on foot.
