Chapter Nine

Dream wakes up, tired. He blocks his face with his hands from the sudden brightness.

"Wh... where am I...?" Dream mumbles.

He sits up tiredly. He is wearing a hospital gown and looks around. Large curtains. Bed. Medicine bags. Cold air.

He's in a hospital room.

He feels warm air hitting his wrist. He looks down and he sees George sleeping there.

Dream smiled, relieved to see him.

"George...?" Dream mumbles.

George wakes up and rubs his eye. "Huh?" He looks at Dream with clear vision. "Dream!"

They immediately hug.

"Oh, I'm so glad to see you, Dream!" George cries with tears of joy.

"Me too, Gogy." Dream smiles, and plants a kiss on George's cheek.

"Can you keep it down there? I'm trying to listen to Faster!" Someone calls from the other side of a curtain.

George pulls the curtains to the side, and revealed that it was Tubbo sitting on the bed. Sapnap is sitting on a chair next to Tubbo.

Sapnap cries, "Dream!" He runs to him and hugs him too.

"Great to see you again, Sapnap." Dream whispered.

George walks to Tubbo's bedside and asks, "How are you doing?"

Tubbo smiles, "Good, the doctors managed to take the bullet out and get stitches on me."

George nods, smiling, "That's good. Oh right, I should thank you... you literally took a bullet for me."

Tubbo admits, "Well, to be honest, I didn't know what was going on inside my head at that time. I just kinda stepped forward without thinking..."

"Thanks for protecting George, Tubbo." Dream said.

"Don't worry about it, guys." Tubbo said.

Sapnap then stayed completely quiet.

"Sapnap, what's wrong?" Dream asks.

"I-it's just... A6D..." Sapnap mumbles.

"What happened to him?" Dream asked.

"Sapnap shot him to death..." George answers.

"I just can't believe I killed someone... even though he was a bad guy..." Sapnap tenses up.

"You totally saved out butts there, though." Tubbo said.

"Yes, you did. A6D would've killed us all if it wasn't for you, Sapnap." George smiles.

Sapnap got flustered and said, "Don't mention it."

George holds Dream's hands and asked, "How are you? Okay?"

Dream nods, "I'm okay, Gogy."

George turns red, "Will you please stop calling me that?"

Everyone laughs at that.
