Chapter 20: "Nothing Without You"

A/n: So guys, this is supposed to be the last episode/chapter until season 2 but i'm going to attempt to change this story and make the rest of it my own. This is just how I interpret what happens after the last episode! I'm scared but enjoy!

It was Julie. She hasn't seen the boys either but as all performers say, 'The show must go on'. She shook off her nerves and we took each other's hands. We walk to the stage together. The crowd had all their eyes on us. A blinding light shining straight to where everyone could see us perfectly. "For them." I squeeze her hand gently. She looks at me and nods. "For them." I smile sadly and walk over to grab a microphone. She sits at her piano and begins to play, starting to sing. I join in with her as we hear drums begin to play, Alex appearing behind me. "Alex.." I whisper softly which makes him smile at me. Reggie appears next to Julie making her smile.

"Right now i'm loving every minute. Hands down, can't let myself forget it, no. Cause everything is rushing in fast. Keep holding on! Never look back!" Julie sings, her voice sounding extra powerful this perform. I look around but notice Luke isn't appearing. Julie keeps singing before I join in. "And it's one, two, three, four times that i'll try for one more night, light a fire in my eyes." I notice in the corner of my eye, Luke trying to appear on stage. He seems weaker then usual. "Come on Luke.. come on!" I say out of range from the microphone. He fully appears on the stage just in time. "I'm going out of my mind!" I let out an excited squeal and quickly go over to him, holding the microphone between us. He smiles widely at me and sings with me. We stop to let Alex and Reggie have their solos. Alex walks around his drums and stands beside us. The five of us standing side by side. We finish our song and walk to the front of the stage to bow. The boys disappear just as we bow. I try not to look upset in front of everyone as I stand up and wave at them. My grandparents wave excitedly at me. Mr. Ray blows Julie and I a few kisses. Julie and I turn to look at each other before hugging. She holds me close. "We did it." She says softly. I sniffle a little and nod. "We did it." I say quietly.

I walk back to Julie's house with her and her family. Mr. Ray couldn't stop telling us how proud of us he was. "Dad, mind if Y/n and I have a moment to talk?" Julie asks. He nods and hugs us both before walking inside. We walk in silence down to the studio. It was dark. I step inside and look around. "Well.. Tonight was amazing. Thank you guys so much." I say, feeling the tears in my eyes. They were actually gone. "You're welcome." I hear a painful groan in the back of the room. "Reggie, seriously?" Luke groans quietly. Julie quickly flips on the light. "I thought you guys were gone!" I quickly rush over to them. Alex holds his side and slowly stands up. "That show wasn't our unfinished business." He mumbles. "Guys, please.. go! Go find that man and tell him you'll work for him. Please. I need you guys to stop hurting, please." I beg, panicking a bit to get them to desperately go and help themselves. Luke stands up and walks over to me. "What's the point? If i'm not with you.. or if we're not making music with you guys. There's no point. I'm nothing without you." Luke says, another jolt being sent through his body along with the other two. I quickly cup his face.

"Luke.." I wipe away his tears gently as I feel my own. I realized I hadn't touched him since he went to that stupid party where he was put in harms way. His body begins to glow. My eyes widen a little and I look him over. "What's happening.." I ask, moving my hands to his jaw then to his shoulders. "I feel stronger.." I look over at Julie. She gives me a confused look before walking over. Her hand doesn't pass through him anymore. I quickly run over to Alex and jump into his arms. He wraps his arms around me and picks me up a bit. "This is what I needed.." He whispers quietly.

"Is it my turn yet..?" Reggie asks. I pull away and smile, going over to him and pulling him into a giant hug. He squeezes me as hard as he can. "Yes!" He says excitedly and spins us around. I giggle and hold onto him tightly. "Group hug!" Julie announces, making everyone run over to her and tackle her into a hug. We all fall over onto the ground, laughing at each other. "Why do you guys think Y/n and Julie were able to help us so much?" Reggie asks. Luke takes my hand and looks at me. "I don't know. I'm just happy they're here." He says and squeezes my hand. I smile and look at him. Carlos walks into the studio. "Julie, why are you and your friends sitting on the floor?"
