George's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"That's such bullshit!" Max had a face that was full of anger and frustration

"What do they mean its a waste of time and resources. This could save lives?"

"Max, calm down. We have roughly a month left in this program. Its better than just being sent away right now" Andrew explained to him. For being the youngest he was more mature about all of this

"A month.... This sucks. I don't want to say goodbye so soon. I loved our morning get togethers. And the sticky notes. We wont be able to celebrate your birthday George. We will be too busy packing all our things" It was clear to see Mandy's eyes get clouded with tears

The silence that fell in the room was suffocating. Just another thing that made it difficult to breathe

Max was clearly frustrated with all of this. He got up and walked away. Most likely back to his room. Andrew got up with a sigh and left as well

"It's okay Mandy... We can always celebrate it before, like a goodbye party"

"It won't exactly be the same, but I guess it will have to do" With that being said she got up and left the room with her head hung low

I stayed in the room a little longer before finally getting up and heading back to my room

"Hey what's wrong?" I could hear Clay's worry

I didn't reply right away. I entered my room and sat down on the bed. I put my hands on my face before very loudly groaning

"Why are you moaning?" Clay tried lifting the mood with a soft chuckle, but it didn't work

"Not the time..." He said nothing after that. I could feel the bed move as he sat down next to me

"Will you tell me what happened?"

I looked up at him and explained the situation about the program

It was clear to say that he was pissed

"What if I gave them money, would that help?"

"I wish, but I think its clear to say those people don't want us to waste anymore time on this program"

"But that's so dumb. Why would they just stop the program not even half way through it?"

"I don't know"

I got a notification on my phone. I checked it to see my mom had texted me. She was on her way

"My mom is on her way over here... sigh"

"I'll leave you two alone. I'll come back and visit you tomorrow. If you only have a month left then we have to make it count"

A goodbye from both of us and he was gone. I laid back on the bed watching the ceiling intensely

I wasn't sure how long I stared at the ceiling before my mom had finally made it

"How are you feeling? They told me what was going on with the program. I'm sorry it was cut short for you" She sat down next to me on the bed. A warm and comforting hand on my shoulder as I sat up

"Before today, I probably would have been a little grateful for it but now its just ruined the rest of this trip for me"

"Why do you say that?"

"Because..." I continued to explain to her about what happened between me and Clay. Along with the reason as to why they had to inject me yesterday

She tried her best to comfort me for the rest of the visiting hours. Showing me pictures of places around Orlando that she had the chance to visit. She gave me a lot of details of how the experience was in each picture

She had even promised me to bring a treat from a little café she had stumbled upon on her adventure. It made me feel a little more alive as I imagined myself in those places with her. But in the back of my mind I knew I wasn't going to be able to experience what she had

I asked her if she could get me a digital camera so I could take picture's of the garden and other experiences I encountered here at the hospital so we could exchange stories. She happily agreed, seeing it as an opportunity to make me happy

She said she would look for the best one she could once she left and bring it to me as soon as possible

With a few final words we said goodbye. Melissa had allowed my mom to stay a little longer after visiting hours

I spent the rest of the day starring out of my window and editing another video

Dreams POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I visited my mom when I left George's room. She noticed my sad and annoyed demeanor as I entered her room. With no escape I explained to her the situation

She herself felt bad because she enjoyed the exchanges of sticky notes. I questioned her on that and she explained that George was the one to give her a blue sticky note asking if she was okay with a bunch of questions she had answered before

When I heard that one guy talk about sticky notes I had assumed it was him who sent a nurse with a sticky note for my mom

She seemed to enjoy the sticky notes even though she had only two

After that it was just wise words from her. Once I left the hospital and made it back home I couldn't get George's sadness away

It hurt more than usual to hear him so sad

I thought about my mom's wise words more

George said he had always wanted to see America

Just like the movies.....

I remembered back to all the movies I've ever seen and with that as inspiration for this crazy and really illegal plan I got to work

If George has a month left in that hospital

I have to take it advantage to ask him questions

I knew his birthday was coming up and I knew of a special place I think he would love to see

This plan is probably going to cause me to go to jail but its worth it. As long as I can bring as many of George's wishes come true

To see him smile again

I'll take every chance I get to make it happen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
George's POV~~~~~~~~~
I had only three days left before I had to go back to England. I had already exchange phone numbers with the others. We had agreed to a time we would all talk just like our morning meet ups
They had asked the nurses if we can throw a birthday party before the day we had to start packing. They told us that we would have to do it quietly to not disturb other patient's. Along with keeping the distance rule in mind
I told Clay about the party and asked if he would come to celebrate with us
"Of course I will. Still sucks you can't celebrate it with everyone the day of"
"A little, but hey at least we get to celebrate it right?" I small smile on my face
Ever since the news about the program cutting short Clay had continuously ask me question of places I've wanted to visit in America. He would often dodge answering my questions as to "why"saying it was nothing
When it very clearly wasn't
But I couldn't budge it out of him even if a wanted to. Curiosity slowly killed me when ever he asked and it lingered when he left
What is he up to?
