Demi
"Dem?"
"Hmm" I glanced over at Dallas who stepped into the room with an envelope in hand. "What is that?" I took it from her as she silently held it out to me. I smiled as I instantly recognised the writing on the envelope. Jill removed the makeup brush from my cheek as I focused on the envelope. I could feel everyone's eyes on me as I pulled out the letter.
Demi. My love. My woman for life.
I can't wait to officially call you my wife and call me cheesy but it's going to be the best day of my life. I love you. You are my everything. You've made me the happiest I have ever been. You're strong and courageous. You're beautiful and amazing. I'm going to be the luckiest man alive.
I'll see you soon, Baby.
Kobe x"Oh, fuck" I lifted my hand to quickly wipe at my cheeks.
"You're so fucking lucky, Lil Sis" I lightly giggled through my tears as I handed the letter back to Dallas who handed it around for everyone in the room to read.
"I can't wait to be his wife."
"We're all so happy for you, Dem" I turned as everyone nodded. I glanced over at mom who wiped at her cheeks as she read the letter in hand. I lightly smiled as I turned back to Jill.
"You're lucky I didn't get far with your makeup" I lightly laughed as I wiped at my cheeks allowing Jill to get back to my makeup.
-
"Oh, Peanut, you look gorgeous" Ayla giggled as she twirled on the spot.
"Me too, Mama?" I glanced to Kyra who twirled also.
"You look beautiful too, my Little Angel" she giggled. "Now, what do you think of mommy?"
"Mommy pretty" Kyra nodded in agreement.
"Thank you, my Babies" I glanced up at mom as she stepped up to me, holding my bouquet of flowers.
"You look incredible, Baby. You're beautiful."
"Thanks Mom" I took the flowers from her, rolling my eyes as I watched her eyes well up with fresh tears. "Don't start crying" I lightly nudged her in the side, chuckling lightly as she tried to compose herself, swiftly wiping at her cheeks.
"You're the first of my babies to get married, let me be emotional" I wrapped my arms loosely around her neck.
"I don't think Dallas will be far behind me."
"And I will probably be just as emotional at Dallas' wedding, and then at Maddie's wedding" I lightly smiled, giving her a squeeze.
"I love you, Mom."
"I love you too, Honey" I pulled from the hug and smiled, quickly wiping away her tears. "Let's go and find your dad" I hooked my arm with mom's as we began down the corridor. Ayla took a hold of my other hand and Kyra skipped a head of us. I don't think I've ever been so happy. I really don't.
"Pumpkin" my heart warmed as I watched my dad well up as I stepped into his eye-line. His hands came up to quickly wipe beneath his eyes and I lightly giggled, a lump forming in my throat as tears burnt at the back of my own eyes. "You look beautiful" I smiled as I stepped up to him and wrapped him in a hug.
"Thank you" he released a breath as he pulled from the hug and I giggled at the fact he was trying to keep himself together. "I love you, Daddy."
"I love you too, Baby Girl" he pressed a brief kiss to my cheek. "Let's get you married" he gently wiped at the teardrop that rolled its way down my cheek. We met up with the grooms men and the bridesmaids that stood just inside the double doors that when opened would reveal the gorgeous outside scenery. I have 8 bridesmaids and Kobe has 8 groomsmen, one of which is Matthew. Kobe's sister is also one of my bridesmaids and she's walking down the aisle with her husband. Dallas is my maid of honour and is walking down the aisle with Kobe's brother. Ayla, Kyra and Nyah are walking down the aisle together, scattering rose petals along the aisle.
"You nervous?" I glanced to dad with a shake my head.
"No, I'm so ready to be married. I can't wait to call him my husband" he pressed a kiss to my cheek causing the smile on my face to widen. The wedding march started and the butterflies suddenly erupted in my tummy.
"Don't let me fall, Dad."
"Like I'd ever let that happen" I gave him a brief smile, focusing on the floor as the doors opened again to reveal the beautiful scenery.
I glanced up and suddenly met Kobe's gaze. My eyes welled up with tears, a lump formed in my throat and my mouth spread into a wide smile. He lifted his hand up to wipe at his cheek, glancing back at his brother who hit him lightly on the arm. I watched as he rolled his eyes before they locked back at me and the biggest smile I'd ever seen spread across his face. It was once I stepped up onto the platform that I noticed the tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Who is giving away this beautiful bride?"
"Her mother and I are" I turned to dad and pressed a kiss to his cheek, my entire body igniting as he lowered my hand into Kobe's.
"You look beautiful" my smile widened as he lifted my hand up to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of it. "I am so lucky" I just wanted to pull him down and kiss him.
"And you look very handsome."
"I scrub up well, huh?" I lightly giggled, giving his hand a squeeze.
"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Kobe James Johnson and Demetria Devonne Lovato in marriage. In the years that they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife" my eyes just remained locked on Kobe. The smiles on our faces speaking volumes.
