Jimin was nervous. He had only ever been this nervous once in his life; when he met Bee face to face for the first time.Bee had gone to where Yoongi had been cleansed and was waiting for his ceremony to say goodbye to him so Jimin had taken the opportunity to send for Thalassa - he had made it clear that she had the option of coming to him or not. He wasn't going to force anything.
He wanted to meet his daughter properly.
However, when she finally arrived, she didn't look particularly happy.
"I'm sorry," He blurted. This situation was completely different from their first meeting and he was unsure what else to say.
Thal gave him a confused look, "For what?"
Jimin hesitated, "For asking you to come here. For not being in your life... for not looking hard enough for your mother. For everything, I suppose,"
Thal took a deep breath and sank onto a seat, "You don't need to apologise for any of that. It wasn't your fault. Besides, we do need to talk," She paused, "And I'm not pissed at you. I'm pissed at Taehyung,"
Immediately, Jimin straightened. Although he had no right to be, he was a little angry that Taehyung had upset Thalassa.
"I'll figure it out once I find him," Thal muttered, seemingly oblivious to the change with Jimin's emotions, "Do you have anything you want to say?"
It wasn't spoken as an accusation. In fact, Thalassa's previous hostility towards him had decreased by a large amount.
He smiled, "I do, but for some reason I don't know what it is I should say. We have missed so much of each other's lives that I don't know where to start. I want to get to know you. I want to know what you've been through and how we can plan a future together as a family," He paused, "If you will accept me as your father,"
There was silence between them. No sounds echoed around the room until Thalassa spoke carefully.
"It's already a fact that you are my father," Her eyes were focused on him, "That's biology. But as my Dad... I'm not sure yet. My Mum loves you, it's obvious, but I don't know you,"
Jimin nodded despite the crack developing in his heart. His voice was gravelly, "I understand,"
"But," Thal continued, "We should get to know each other," She smiled, "I grew up in a different world to everyone down here. I think I would like to have a family who understands that I'm now torn between two places that are home-" She stopped talking, a frown appearing on her brow.
"What is it?" Jimin asked, resisting the urge to reach out.
"It's just one home," She muttered to herself, unfurling her tail, "There's only one home," She lifted her eyes, "I have to go,"
Before Jimin could say a word, Thal was already at the door. After a moment's hesitation she spun, rushing back to Jimin and throwing her arms around his neck.
"Thank you for saving us," She said quietly, "I would love to have you in my family,"
She let go and swiftly left.
A small smile slowly spread Jimin's lips until he had a full-fledged grin on his face as his heart thumped in his chest.
He had his mate and now he had his young; his daughter.
Even if he wasn't about to be crowned the next Poseidon, he was utterly content.

"Princess Thalassa," Thal turned when she heard her name to come face to face with Jimin's trusted friend, Namjoon. He seemed to be more genuine with his smiles after seeing her interact with the ones who raised her mother (she refused to think of them as grandparents).
"You shouldn't be out by yourself yet," He said, "I'll take you to- you're not listening to me, are you?"
"Huh?" Thal snapped to attention, not realising that her mind was on Taehyung, "I am, sorry. Have you seen Taehyung?"
Namjoon chuckled, "You don't need to lie to me, I can tell your thoughts are elsewhere. Taehyung went out to the kelp forest, I'll take you to him but you can't be left alone outside it's not safe yet,"
"Uh huh," Thal was already thinking of how to approach Taehyung.
Namjoon laughed properly this time, "Alright, follow me, your highness, it's this way,"
