Chapter 29: 7 Years in the Making

Ash, Serena and Mew made their way to the hotel next to the stadium. It was finally time for Ash and Serena to talk to their mothers. "I think I see them!" Mew said and pointed towards the garden, where Grace and Delia were watching the flowers. Ash looked at his fiance who was pale as a sheet of paper. She was so afraid to talk to her mother after so long and couldn't even imagine her response after she would tell her about Ash. Then she felt something grab her hand, it was mew. She was standing next to Serena and gave the young adult one of her beautiful bright smiled "you don't need to worry, Ash and I are going to be with you the entire time" She said and hugged Serena. Ash smiled and kissed her on the cheek "Mew is right, we are here for you" He said and took Serena's hand, intertwining their fingers. Serena smiled and kissed him back. Now she was ready

"Excuse me ma'am" Ash said and tapped on is mother's shoulder. Delia and Grace turned around and faced the three. "what is it?" Delia asked as she didn't recognize her son. But then she laid her eyes on Mew and pure shock entered her body. "As-?" She was trying to ask but was cut by Ash covering her mouth with his hand "shhh" Ash said and signaled her to be quiet. "come with us" said Serena. When Grace looked into Serena's eyes She immediately recognized her and tears started escaping her eyes. after 7 long years she was finally seeing her daughters beautiful ocean blue eyes "Sere-" she started but much like Delia, she was cut by Serena, signaling her to be quiet, Grace sadly nodded and turned quiet

The Three led Delia and Grace to an insulated place, just behind some trees in the forest near the hotel. after they checked they're out of sight Serena and Ash, finally removed their masks and revealed their faces. Delia and Grace looked at them with pure shock, just staring them down making Ash and Serena feel more guilty by the second. but then they both lashed on their children, bringing them to a deep and loving motherly hug. "Oh my baby.." Grace cried and release her from the hug "why did you leave your mother for so long? I missed you more and more with every single day that passed, i couldn't begin to think about what's happening to you.." she said and teared up "Mom please stop crying.. I'm here now aren't I?" Serena said and hugged her mother deeply "I've missed you" Grace said as they separated "I've missed you too mom"

The two separated and Grace looked at her daughter "you grew so much" She said and smiled "you turned into a fine young lady Serena" Serena smiled but slowly she turned sad "what's wrong dear?" Grace asked. Serena sighed "I'm sorry i left you without calling even once I know you missed me but i din't want to make myself miss you more and th-" Serena was silenced by her mother putting her finger on her lips "you don't have to apologize for anything" Grace said with a sense of teasing in her voice the flew under Serena's radar "and besides I know why you haven't called" Serena looked at her surprised "you do?" Grace nodded and smiled "you and Ash are dating now, aren't you?" She asked making Serena's face go deep red "it's a little more complicated then this.." She said nervous "then tell me"

Serena sighed and called Ash who, after talking with his mom came by her side immediately. "Ash, I'm ready to tell them" She said and took his hand. Ash nodded and together they turned to face their mothers once more "As Serena said we have something to say.." Ash said slightly embarrassed and scared "the thing is that a couple of years ago Ash and I.. started dating" Serena said and blushed deep red "but that's not the end" Ash said leaving Grace and Delia confused. Ash and Serena took a deep breath "4 years ago.. Ash.." Serena extended her arm and revealed her gorgeous engagement ring "..proposed to me"

Grace and Delia were shocked and looked at the engagement ring, observing it. The two looked at each other and smiled "so i guess we're going to become a family?" They said together, Delia to Serena and Grace to Ash. As and Serena smiled and brought their mothers into a group hug. "But only under one condition" Delia said making Ash ad Serena look at her "anything" they said together and held each others arms "I would allow that only if i see you kiss" Delia said making Ash and Serena go bright Red "and not just a peck" Grace added "we want to see a real kiss" Mew feared her brother and sister may have turned into tomatoes at that point but quickly decided to act "what's the matter? you too kissed thousands of times already" Mew said placed her head between the two "come on i want to see you kiss too" making Ash and Serena even more red
