I never knew your last name,

the curiousity

of how it would have sounded

on your lips, still intrigues me.

you wanted to read me.

and for you, I was an open book.

my most desolate chapters,

are what you felt the most,

you were porcelain, snow white.

and I was afraid to break you.

photographs were only adequate in replicating the vision you are.

now all that is left behind,

are only photographs.

not even all the worlds colors in paintings

could reconstruct

the radiant glow within your smile

you were merlot.

the luster of an apple,

black lace, pretty face

and the way you wore heels & red lipstick

made my heart race

you gave me kaleidoscope vision,

our colors synchronized, in full bloom

you'd struck me at full force,

and i never saw it coming.

you were everything to me all at once,

and then you were gone.
