Due to him losing his speed, Barry has been obsessive with looking for other alternatives to get his speed back. The one thing he never thought of was the negative speedforce. Even though he hates Eobard Thawne, he turns to him, wanting to know how...
While Iris was getting some stuff done at the Citizen, Barry was with most of Team Flash at Jitters planning the surprise baby shower.
"So, what colour theme are we thinking of using?" Cecile asked.
"I was thinking purple. Since that was Nora's favourite colour and also because it was the colour of her lightning whenever she ran" Barry said. The team fell silent for a bit. All thinking of the time they all spent with Nora before she was erased from existence.
When the team looked at Barry though, he had a look on his face. A look of loss.
"You ok?" Joe asked.
"Yeah it's just....I know that we're gonna see Nora again but it won't entirely be the same" Barry said.
"Barry, she's still gonna be the Nora you know and love. There's not gonna be anything different about that" Cecile said.
"I know" Barry replied.
Suddenly, Barry's phone buzzed. He looked at it and it was a message from Iris.
"Barry? What is it?" Cisco asked. Barry looked up at Cisco and then at the team.
"Reverse Flash" Barry said in a worried tone.
"What's going on with him?" Caitlin asked.
"He has Iris" Barry said. The team immediately stood up and they all rushed out of Jitters. Barry rushed after them.
"I'll work on the location, you speed through the city to see if you can find him" Cisco said. Barry nodded and then sped off.
Barry sped through the entire city, desperately trying to find his wife. At the same time, Cisco was trying to find Iris's location by using the text she had sent Barry. Joe became overwhelmed with emotion and severe worry.
AT THAWNE'S LOCATION
"Barry's gonna find me. He always does" Iris said to Thawne as she looked at him angrily.
"I highly doubt that" Thawne said.
"Well I believe he'll come. I believe he'll find me and that he will save me" Iris said. Thawne then walked over to a workbench that was a few metres away from Iris and took something out of a dark brown wooden box. When Iris saw it, she knew it was something bad.
"What is that?" Iris asked.
"You'll find out eventually" Thawne said as he then sped out of the building.
BARRY
"Have you found Iris's location yet, Cisco?" Barry said worryingly.
"Yes! He's in 6th and Brad. You're looking for a massive warehouse building. It looks rundown" Cisco said.
"Heading there now" Barry said.
"Be careful Barry. We'll be on standby if anything happens" Caitlin said.
"Will do" Barry said.
Barry then arrived at the location and walked to the door. When he found that it was locked, he vibrated his hand and then hit his hand on the door handle. The door handle broke off and fell to the ground. The door then opened and Barry rushed inside.
"Iris!?" Barry said, trying to find Iris.
"Barry! There's a bomb!" Iris said. Barry looked at where Iris's voice was coming from and then rushed over. As soon as he rescued her, he ultimately tripped a wire that set the timer off and it had only ten seconds on it. Barry then tried to run out of the building using his speed but it wasn't working. The door then suddenly closed.
Then all of a sudden, everything went black.
"NO!" Team Flash yelled at the same time.
When Iris came to, she found herself lying next to a pile of rubble with Barry's hand sticking out underneath.
"Barry!?" Iris exclaimed. She tried to stand up but found it painful. She looked down at her legs and saw that her right leg had been broken by a bit of debris. She then tried to push the rubble off Barry.
When she did, she found Barry with a rebar sticking out of his side. A look of horror appeared on Iris's face. Barry slowly came to. When he did, he didn't feel any pain at first but after a short while, the pain hit him like a ton of bricks.
"Barry?" Iris said, looking down at Barry. Barry looked at Iris and was relieved that she was ok.
"Can you use your speed to cut through it?" Iris asked. Barry lifted his hand and tried to vibrate it. It vibrated for a few seconds before stopping completely.
"Guys!? Where are you!?" Cisco's voice suddenly called.
"We're over here!" Iris yelled through her tears.
"I-Iris" Barry stammered. Iris looked back down at Barry.
"I love you" Barry said as he then closed his eyes.
"No please! Please stay with me Barry!" Iris cried as she held his hand.
