Speechless.

That's the only word I could use to describe how I am feeling right now. Looking at the majestic scenery of the People's Park in the Sky, I could only part my lips open and lay my eyes softly at the incomprehensibly beautiful view.

The air unbelievably fresh and cold, very contradicting to what it's normally like in the Philippines. There's only a few people around the area that are like me, silently appreciating the view.

After minutes, Luke came beside me holding a stripe red and white blanket. I looked at him softly when he knelt down to spread the blanket over the grassy hill.

When he finished setting up, he sat down at the right side and tapped the left side of him to offer me a seat. I stared at the vacant place next to him and wondered why is he doing this.

He came to Makati with me, escorted me to the orphanage, defended me against Benjie, accompanied me to a restaurant with a fake engagement to get a pair of free desert, and then took me here. Why on earth.. does he makes my heart pump this wild?

When he realized that I wasn't moving, he look up to me with creased forehead. "Tatayo ka lang diyan?" Of course, Luke being Luke, serious and sarcastic.

I rolled my eyes and sat down beside him. I noticed that he have a small transparent tupperware filled with sliced fruit salad that maybe he bought somewhere here, I don't care. I chuckled and rolled my eyes again.

"Suit yourself." He put the salad in front of us while gesturing me to get some.

I just nodded and glued my attention to the overlooking view of the whole city, the Taal volcano, and Lake Ta'al.

Just like what I said earlier, I can easily figure out if someone's staring at me. And right now, I can already feel Luke's intriguing eyes against my skin. It's my peripheral vision and not-so-bluff instinct that tells me so.

I remember the scene a while ago that makes me want to escape for a while, that makes me refuse to go home. Benjie and his foul mouth, I only wish I could smash his face on the spot.

When I got enough of his stare and couldn't contain it anymore, I took a heavy breath and expelled it hardly.

"I'll give you the privilege to ask so stop staring like an idiot." I whispered while gazing at the peaceful view.

He seemed stunned and was taken aback when I caught him. He coughed several times and cleared his throat before asking, "What do you mean?"

I rolled my eyes and curled my toes. I'm wearing a skinny jeans and sneakers. I rested my elbows on my knees and held my hands together in front of me. There I saw the silver with a marquise cut diamond ring on my finger. So beautiful, but something feels off. I don't know, I can't seem to figure out.

Saan ba niya nakuha ito? Bakit siya may dala-dalang singsing? Did he planned it all beforehand? Just for a cake?

"Stop beating around the bush, I know you've got a lot to ask after what you've heard. Kaya mo nga ako dinala rito 'diba?"

Hindi siya nagsalita. Ramdam ko pa rin ang titig niya mula sa aking gilid at habang patagal nang patagal ay bumibigat ang pakiramdam ko. I am getting myself ready with his questions. Handa akong sagutin ang anumang itatanong niya ngayon bilang kabayaran sa pagtulong niya sa akin kanina at sa pagdadala sa akin dito.
