I jolted up and couldn't stop the scream that slipped through my lips. Silence rang in my ears as I panted, gasping for air. I couldn't focus. The room was just a blur of blue and white and sea green. Two hands gripped my shoulder, making my reflex's kick in. The person was pinned down onto the bed in a heartbeat and my vision cleared. Annabeth. This was Annabeth. I rolled off of her and forced myself to calm down.

Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth Annabeth.

"Beth- I'm so sorry. Are you hurt?" I asked, voice cracking. She sat up and shook her head. Her hands clasped my cheeks, and she forced me to look at her.

"Deep breaths Baby. I got you. I'm right here. It was all a dream," she whispered reassuringly. My breathing slowed eventually and she rubbed her thumb on my cheek. "There you go. I'm right here. We're together, that's all that matters," she said, pulling me into her chest.

I sobbed.

"Annabeth, I- you were blind. I couldn't save you. Oh gods it's all my fault. It's my fault we fell into- that place. And It's my fault you had to raise the twins alone and it's my fault that he's coming after you and the kids. I'm so sorry," I cried. She ran a hand through my messy hair and pulled me up to look at her.

"No Percy. None of that is your fault. It's Kronos's fault you left. It's that damn spider's fault we fell. And he's only looking for the twins to get back at us for making it out alive. None of that's your fault. Okay? I need you to tell me none of it's your fault," she begged. It was quiet for a minute as we stared into eachothers eyes.

"It- it wasn't my fault," I managed to choke out.

She smiled and nodded, pulling me in for a kiss.

"I love you. And it really isn't your fault. You might not believe it right now, but we'll work on it," she promised. I pulled her into my chest, pressing kisses onto her bare shoulders.

"I'm sorry I ruined our first morning as newlyweds," I mumbled into her hair.

"Well let's be honest with ourselves, with three kids and way too much trauma, this is more realistic," she laughed. I touched one of the large purple marks on her neck. "I had a great time last night, Bethie. But I don't know exactly how you're going to cover all of those," I laughed softly and pressed a small kiss onto the mark.

"I think i'll just wear one of your old hoodies."

"Or we just stay in bed all day."

"Percy, we have responsibilities."

"My first and foremost responsibility is you, my beautiful wife."

"And our kids."

"And our kids," I agreed.

"And the army."

I glared at her. "You definitely aren't making things easy for me, wise girl," I pouted, pressing another kiss onto her ear.

"Didn't I promise 9 years ago that I would never make things easy for you?" she shot back and pressed a kiss onto my chest. I could stay right here for the rest of my life if I could. Her cheek squished up against my bare chest, my hand fiddling with her hair.

"I love you so much. And I can't wait till every morning is like this," I mumbled into her hair. All I could smell were lemons. Her lemon shampoo and lemon conditioner. The now messy golden ringlets of hair draped over both of our shoulders. She just hummed contently.

"Oh and before I forget, I got you a present. Well, it's from me and the kids," I explained and forced myself out of the bed. I pulled a pair of boxers on.
