At Happy Bun Buns

When you didn't have any missions with the others, you'd usually spend your time with your fathers, who both worked at their bakery/cafe called Happy Bun Buns. While baking or serving customers, they'd tell you the time they were sorcerers in your age. That's apparently how they also met and fell in love. And you never got tired hearing their stories.

"Ah, your Papa was such a shy boy back then. When we were teamed up to exorcise a grade 1 curse, he didn't speak at all! But after I saved his life, he fell in love with me and asked me to marry him! How romantic!" Your Tou-Chan, (Last Name) Kiyoshi, told you while he was decorating the strawberry cake. After adding the finishing touches to the cake, he put it in front of the display and turned to you, his soft brown following his movement while his gentle hazel eyes gazed fondly at you. Wrapping his arms around you while you were making the bear buns, he continued his talk.

"I hope that you find your special one soon, (Nickname)-Chan! Before that, tell me what you're into! You like girls? Boys? Tell me!" Kiyoshi couldn't help but be excited. His once little baby was now all grown up, doing missions he used to do before. But of course, there'd be always romance in the corner. Also, Kiyoshi totally did not, check your phone one time you were baking a cake with your Papa. So, of course he'd get curious as to who this, Todo-senpai with a heart was.

"Tou-Chan! I'm making the bear buns! Besides, I don't even know myself, yet... I just wanna become a great shaman and destroy all curses, so you and papa can live a happy life." You explained to Kiyoshi. When he didn't reply, you turned over your shoulder to see that he was in tears. Fat crocodile tears were streaming down his face and a snot was forming in his nose.

"(FIRST NAME)-CHAN! UWAH!" Kiyoshi couldn't help but sob. Your words meant so much to him. Without saying anything, you pulled out your handkerchief and wiped his face. Your words next made him freeze and shiver in fright.

"Also, I knew you snooped my phone last night. Otherwise, you wouldn't talk about my 'love life'." After wiping his face and giving your handkerchief to him, you continued with the bear buns.

"AH! My darling, (Nickname)-Chan! You see, tou-chan couldn't help but be curious, you know? Ha ha ha..." Kiyoshi laughed nervously as your aura suddenly turned darker. It was like facing a first grade curse again.

"Curiosity killed the cat, you know?" You then got bonked. Clutching your head, you slowly turned around to see your papa, who was holding a roller pin. He bonked you with that. Ouch.

"Now watch your tone, kid. You know how much of a crybaby your tou-chan is." Your Papa, (Last Name) Hyuuga, explained while Kiyoshi whined in the background. (Last Name) Hyuuga, your biological father. He had the same (Hair Color) and (Eye Color), you were basically a copy of him. But you must be wondering about your biological mother then, right?

Hyuuga explained to you after you just turned 13, about your biological mother. She was from the Zenin clan and that she was a very kind woman. While it never was specified how the two of them ended up together, Hyuuga told you that both of them ended it with good terms and he got custody over you right after you were born. After pleading to your Papa about your mother, he finally let you meet her when you turned 15.

You didn't expect to meet her at a hospital. Her name was Zenin Himawari. A beautiful name fit for her. Her hair was the same color as the midnight sky that reached at her bottom. Her eyes were gentle yellow. Just like the petals of a sunflower. She told you about how she and your Papa were in an arranged marriage at the age of 15. Himawari explained that Hyuuga never wanted it but he did it for her sake because at that time they were friends and classmates. They both agreed that after they had you, they would have a divorce and Hyuuga would have custody over you. After her explanation, she then met your eyes, expecting to see rage or hatred. But all she saw was kindness. And she knew that Hyuuga raised you well with Kiyoshi.

And speaking of Kiyoshi, she told you that she, Hyuuga and him were classmates back then and used to go on missions together.

"They fell in love when Kiyoshi saved Hyuuga's life." She told you, her voice gentle and her eyes shining.

After your visit to the hospital, you made sure you'd come back from time to time to listen to your mother's story as a shaman.

Back to the present. After finishing the bear buns, you put them in the oven and turned to your Papa with a glare.

"That hurt, ya know? And yeah, he wouldn't be such a cry baby if he didn't snoop my phone!" You shouted while pointing at Kiyoshi, who gave a wink and stuck out his tongue.

"Why'd you do that, honey? I thought we agreed that (First Name) would tell us about-" before Hyuuga could finish, Kiyoshi stuffed a matcha cupcake into his mouth and turned to you. Putting his hands on your shoulders, he gently led you to one of the tables in the cafe and made you sit.

"Oh dear! You must be so tired! Why don't you rest a bit and have some coffee and bread bear buns! Here's your phone! Love you and talk to you later!" Kiyoshi then rushed back before you could ask how he got your phone again.

With a sigh, you unlocked your phone and your wallpaper made you blush. It was a picture of you and Todo smiling brightly at the camera with the others behind doing funny faces. You hoped that you'd get to see them soon. Especially the one you smiled brightly next to.
