Strolling together and entering the park, a slight breeze rustles the leaves, making them fall to the ground one by one. Thankfully, it didn't get your hair messy when the warm air and the beams of the sunlight made the ground and the large tree above your head exposed to the sun.

The pathway is nothing more than dirt littered with falling leaves, dust, and random rocks where the children once played under the supervision of their parents. It made you wonder why there are no people inside this sunny day, but only those cute puppies and their mother dog, resting in the shade.

"Hey, Junpei, why do you think there are no children here? Did something happen?"

"Hmm... rumors said that a young girl died in this tree a week ago. And. Her. Spirit. Stays. Here. Every. Sunny. Day. dun dun dun dun!"

"Ha-ha, Sunny day? I'm not scared of those typical horror stories, but I'll compliment you for your impromptu thinking."

Junpei laughed at your plain-looking reaction when he tried to make you scared with an elementary horror story that they usually say. However, the cause of the sudden quietness of the park was the once every month festival-like near the market. It caught every eye of the children in the town.

"Don't worry. I'll save my pretty princess if that h-happens. Wait, no, let's just run together if that occurs."

"Oh~ Who's the scaredy-cat now?

From joking, laughing, and teasing. It never made you tired just being with Junpei, your one and only boyfriend. He was your childhood friend, your best friend, your classmate, and until your relationship with him moved higher.

Sitting on a bench, the rosy cedar browns with its iron, curved in a beautiful shape where his hands leaned by, you watched him chuckle with all the jokes you made and all the stories you tell. It was a date you truly wanted, not just by eating or going out, but by spending each other's time together.

With a short pause, you noticed those cute puppies walking around their area, which made you jumped out of the bench and smiled brightly. You brought out your phone and was ready to advance and run towards them, which left Junpei nothing to do to stop you from your love with animals.

You run towards them, being careful that the mother dog won't bite you, seeing that those puppies are newborn. Surprisingly, with your soft touch with them, they became cuddly to you. So, you brought your phone out and took dozens of pictures with them.

However, from the time you spend with those dogs, you forgot your loyal, whimpering dog at the back on the bench that you numerously caught looking at you with those soft smiles. As a result, you pulled Junpei from his seat and took a photograph with him and those puppies. It surprised Junpei, but whatever you were doing made him very satisfied.

"Smile!"

Dawn came, so you decided to let the dogs away after two long hours. He smiled at how sad you were when they left because of your mother's allergies, where you can't have pets inside your house.

"Don't be sad, I'm here too, you know?"

He looked at your face with softness, which made you feel secure, but at the same time, worried because of what might happen to him, knowing that those bullies target him from the beginning.

"You're the one who's looking sad. Are you alright? Remember that I'm here too. We'll be right at each other's back. Don't forget. I'm the champion in Taekwondo and Judo-"

"(Y/N)..."

You paused after hearing him call your name. His smile was one of happiness growing, as his lips lifted upward, and the warm glow he gives. You heard it in his voice, the choice of his words, and the wonderful atmosphere around both of you. It was from the heart. It was beautiful as he held your hand and stared at your red cheeks from how close he got.

"Thank you for not leaving me."
