ONE AFTERNOON, (Y/N) was at the kitchen, wanting a glass of water. it just so happened that rikido sato was baking with the help of his friends, toru hagakure and koji koda at the same time.
"hello, (y/n)!" hagakure greeted, mixing a bowl of the batter while the other two boys waved in greeting.
(y/n) replied with a greeting of her own and took her mug off the rack. she then filled her mug with the jug filled with water. unbeknownst to her, the three other people present in the kitchen shared a look and nodded.
it was time to start phase two of the plan.
"(y/n), would you mind tasting the cookies we're making? we plan to distribute them to the class later," they thought this was a good plan because who doesn't like food? surely it will bring a smile on the girl's face, right?
the stoic girl, who had no idea of their true intentions, placed her mug down on the kitchen counter and looked at the hopeful glint in their eyes,"uh, no, not at all."
leaning on the counter and waiting for her three friends to finish up with their baking, she observed each one of them them.
hagakure, clad with a white apron, was covered with specks of flour as her blue striped long sleeves covered arms kneaded the dough before rolling it flat with a rolling pin.
passing the dough to koda, the young male cut the dough with animal-shaped cookie cutters in a focused manner, tongue sticking out slightly in concentration.
on the other hand, sato was skimming through the recipe printed on the open book lying next to him and measuring the number of ingredients needed, his eyes filled with pure determination.
(y/n) felt at peace with the comforting silence, occasionally hearing the sound of pages flipping and items being placed on the table. watching her friends hard at work brought a smile to her face as she admired the scene.
a sudden ping resonated around the room and the smile on her face vanished as she watched sato opened the oven, pulling out a tray filled with chocolate chip cookies.
waiting for the baked goods to cool down, the three looked at the stoic girl in front and nodded, gesturing to her that it was ready to be tasted.
(y/n) took a cookie off the tray and bit into it. the taste of the sweet creamy chocolate invaded her senses and melted in her mouth.
the girl nodded at the three with her usual look, "these cookies are good, definitely share them with everyone," she took her mug off the counter and, "well done, you guys. thanks for letting me have a taste, i'll be going back to my room."
with that, the (y/n) left the kitchen, leaving hagakure, sato and koda with disappointed looks etched on their faces as they have failed in making her smile.
