It took several minutes to calm my body down.

It was like 0-100 in a matter of seconds.

My mood becoming angered and hostile- despite my want to be compliant and calm.

My whole body trembled like an earthquake and my mouth was the Sahara Desert.

Sitting at the police station- a case worker came to evaluate Leo and discuss options with the officers. No one has reported a missing child yet and as of late no one has said anything about what's going to happen with Leo.

"How are you?" Hermione asks as she comes walking into the private lounge- arms crossed and a concerned look on her face.

"Awful...I feel...awful."

"Do you need anything?" She asks and I sigh heavily.

"I don't know what happened. I wanted to be calm. Inside I was calm- but my body just...it took over. I ruined everything. Someone could have gotten hurt." Putting my head in my hands- I lean forward on the couch and tremble as she comes towards me.

"You couldn't help it- and Officer Reese knows that. Things can happen like that and it's hard to know how to navigate it- but you did great. Okay? Don't worry yourself, Darling. These side effects are just temporary. When the medicine is fully in your system and your body is used to it- you won't experience this any more." She kneels in front of me and has her hands firmly on my kneecaps.

"I feel horrible for Leo. I probably scared him."

"Leo's fine. You were just protecting him. Okay? He's fine." Getting off her knees, she pushes my shoulders back so I sit up and she sits down on my lap. Wrapping her arms around my neck, she kisses me deeply and then pulls back and stares into my eyes. "I'm proud of you. You've been such a good Daddy today."

Her kiss my lips and neck. Her hands playing in the short hairs at the base of my neck. My hands find her waist and my thumbs massage her hips.

"I want him, Hermione." I boldly say and she searches my eyes.

"Draco..."

"I would be his father in a heart beat. I care about that little boy." She watches me and I continue. "I want him. If his parents don't- then fine- they're garbage and never should have the chance to see him again. As fucked up as my father was- he did love me: he was course and unyielding- but he loved me because so was his son- even if I was a disappointment most days. I want to be a better father than my own dad- I want to make Leo feel loved and happy and want for nothing. Because that's what he deserves."

"You are so sweet- you know that?" Her eyes glisten and my hands slowly move up to her stomach and she stills.

"I want children with you, Hermione. I want watch them grow and come into this world and I want them to look just like you." I nearly choke and she just watches me intently. "I love you...I'm not ever gonna be perfect...but...I want you and I want children..."

"Draco..." The door opens and we pull away from each other. Standing up and paying attention to the special worker who has Leo's hand in hers.

"Mr. Malfoy. Miss Granger- we have discussed, went over your records, and have accepted your offer to foster the child until we can find a permanent placement for him. You will be visited a few times a week to make sure that the home is fit for the child and that he is doing well. We will be trying to reach out to find living relatives in the meantime as well as the parents." Mrs. Hayes says and walks Leo over to us. Bending down, I look him over and he wraps his tiny arms around me and rests his head on my shoulder. "It is rather late- so please go home and rest. I'll drop by the home Wednesday morning to see how things are going."
