June 10, 1944

Inside your ship's conning tower

Y/N: Ah a very good day to be alive isn't it Klaus?

Klaus: Maybe?

Y/N: I don't know how to response to that....And this patrol is boring and dangerous after all the command did't send any destroyers to escort us which is stupid...Any moment we can be attacked by a random British Submarine

Walter: Well captain you cannot realy blame the command for not sending any destroyers after all we're kinda short of surface ships snd most of the production is shifted to the U-Boats and Admiral Döenits new toy the Type XXI

Y/N: Well I guess your right about that and also because of the the production of the surface ships are slow and I think only 2 H Class and some destroyers will be finished this month or next month I suppose hey Karl any interesting news?

Karl: Well captain this is from the bridge from the high command "On June 10, 1944 Operation Weserübung is a Complete success due to this Norwegian harbors will be now operational and open in rusupplying and repairing our ships and U-Boats currently hunting merchant ships in the Atlantic" and that message is just send by now sir

Y/N: Oh that's interesting and I can't believe they did't let us participate

Günter: Sir I got this from the bridge they detected 5 unknown ships 21.8 kilometers away from us

Y/N: Bearing, derection the contacts are heading and speed?

Günter: Sir the Bearing is 227 their currently heading West wards and speed is medium but they still don't know how fast but they are certain that it is merchant ships sir

Y/N: Finaly! Klaus tell the bridge to turn the ship 70 degrees to starboard (Left) and put her in full also tell them to prepare our recon aircraft for the more accurare information about these contact

Klaus: Yes sir

After a few minutes your Arado AR 196A flew off from your ship's catapult heading towards the unknown radar contacts 21.8 kilomters away from your ship

After 6 minutes of waiting the aircraft reported that it was a 4 large merchant ships 10,000+ tons each and escorted by Leander class Light Cruiser of the Royal Navy.

Y/N:Oh that's sounds promising and also why a cruiser? They don't give the the convoy any protection at all besides being a very juicy and big target too

Günter:Well probably the Royal Navy is Running out of Destroyers?

Klaus: If that is the case then it will be very fatal after almost all of the merchant ships being sunk is sunk by our U-Boats they needed the destroyers to protect their destroyers from our U-Boats

Y/N: The Rayal navy running out of destryeres is very impossible but the our meal is now served we cannot complain to it a meal is a meal also we're lucky if the convoy have more warships escorting it will ne a problem

And after closing to the convoy to 10 kilometers the Leander noticed your ship and begun heading towards your ship while firing it's 6 inch guns while slowy broadsiding so it can fire all of it's main guns for maximum firepower and your ship answered by firing it's 11 inch guns.

Y/N: Keep firing at the danm thing! Also it's nit like it's much of a threat to us

You grab one of the phones inside the conning toward to call the crew in the bridge

Y/N: Turn the ship to 35 degrees port (Right) I want her to be angled to increase the chance of ricochet and so the enemy have lower chances of penetrating our armor!
