Chapter 10

"Where's Buttercup?" Professor asked his daughters as they enter his lab with the missing member.

Bubbles immediately froze and disappeared, which was a sign that Blossom and Buttercup were at it again.

"She flew off after we saved the mayor," Blossom sighed trying to not add any more information.

Professor sighed as he knew that when they were not on good terms it was because of their differences, "Blossom..."

"Look I didn't say anything that wasn't true," Blossom argues.

"I know, but you also have to accept that shadow manipulation is now her powers Blossom," Professor argues.

"I don't think so professor," Dexter interjected as he was examining molecules under a microscope.

"Thank you, Dex," Blossom response as he supported her.

"Dexter..." Professor scolded.

"Look I'm just saying that we understand in comparison that the other powers are caused by their strange genetic mutation DNA. Their chemical X element allows gaining abilities and Buttercup altered it. Causing a variable. No offense Blossom," Dexter comments.

"No worries," She smiled towards him, "But he has a point."

"It doesn't mean you disregard her, " Professors says as he grabbed his car keys, "You need to accept her as she is. She still my daughter through my eyes and your sister. I'm going to go find her."

"She'll be back professor," Blossom reassured.

Professor gave a quick glare before leaving out of the house.

"Well that went well," Dexter commented as he was doing calculations on a digital whiteboard.

Blossom sighed, "It seems like everyone wants to go against me," Blossom sighed as she leaned on the lab table.

"The story of my life with living siblings or just one like Dee Dee," Dexter groans as he finishes his calculations and turns to look at her with a sad expression.

"First the Rowdy Ruff boys saved us.." Blossom was going to list but was quickly interjected by Dexter.

"Wait.. What? Those villains saved you! Are you okay?" Dexter started to ask a lot of questions, "Did they reveal..."

"Dex!" Blossom yelled for him shut up, "I'm fine, but oddly enough that's what I'm worried about."

"Why would they save you?" Dexter asked with concern.

"Him got stronger. He had us out, next thing I knew Boomer was helping me up," Blossom explained as she pondered in thought, "But how did they know we went to save the mayor?"

"Seem like strange timing to me," Dexter agreed, "Then to be the heroes against what? Their second father... That's it!"

"What's it?"Blossom asked him confusion.

"Well they don't call me boy genius," Dexter chuckled as he fixed his glasses, "It's a setup."

"You think so?" Blossom asked.

"Come on, it's a classic hero-villain plot like my comics. The villains turn good to only gain the trust of the heroes and as soon as they lose their guard. BAMM!" Dexter explained.

"Your right!" Blossom expressed as she took his comic, "That's what they are plotting! " Blosson then launches herself at him, unexpectedly, hugs him.

His breath halts in his chest. His body stiffens, muscles tense, and taut. Blossom swears his heart stutters.
