Kiri's POV

It's music night on the ship. Dad is singing while three other crew men played instruments. I dance around the fire with a scarf. We were having so much fun. While Zuko is in his room sulking with Miko for company. "Winter, spring ... Summer, and fall ... Winter, spring ... Summer, and fall ... Four seasons ... four loves ... Four seasons ... for love" father sings.

Suddenly the music stops. "Why did you all stop?" I ask confused as I stop dancing on the opposite of the fire facing them. Father nods behind me and I turn to see Zhao and scowl.

"Good evening Princess Kiri, general Iroh. Where is Zuko?"  he asks.

"In his room" father tells him as he comes to stand beside me.

"Good, I need to tell him something" he states. I share a look with my father and we lead Zhao to Zuko's room. I enter first and Miko jumps into my arms. I notice Zuko facing away from the door as my father enters.

"For the last time, I'm not playing the tsungi horn!" Zuko says annoyed.

"It's not about music night" I tell him in a serious tone.

"She's right, it's about our plans. There's a bit of a problem" father tells him. As Zhao enters the room.

"I'm taking your crew" Zhao announces.

"What?!" Zuko demands as he turns to face us.

"I've recruited them for a little expedition to the North Pole" Zhao states.

"Uncle, Kiri is that true?" Zuko asks us.

"I'm afraid so. He's taking everyone" dad tells him. "Even the cook" he says sadly.

"Dad you know I can cook" I remind him.

"Sorry you won't be there to watch me capture the Avatar. But I can't have you getting in my way again" Zhao states. Zuko charges at Zhao in anger, but father cuts him off. I notice Zhao looking at Zuko's swords and curse in my head. "I didn't know you were skilled with broadswords, Prince Zuko" he states.

"I'm not, they're antiques. Just decorative" Zuko tells him.

"I got them for his last birthday" I add.

"Have you heard of the Blue and Red Spirit, General Iroh?" Zhao asks my father.

"Just rumors. I don't think they are real" father tells him.

"What of you princess?" Zhao asks me.

"I agree with father, the red and blue spirit are not real" I state.

"They're real, all right" he tells us. "They are criminals, and enemies of the Fire Nation. But I have a feeling justice will catch up with them soon" he states. He heads for the door and pauses. "General Iroh, Princess Kiri the offer to join my mission still stands ... if either of you change your minds" he adds before leaving.

"I'm going to go make myself a cup of tea. Do either of you want a cup?" I ask Zuko and my father. Zuko shakes his head as Dad said he'd have one. We left Zuko and Miko sits on my shoulder as we headed to the kitchen.

The crew just left. Father and I have decided to go for a walk. I suggested that we invite Zuko. Dad agreed and we went to Zuko's room. "The crew wanted me to wish you safe travels" dad tells Zuko.

"Good riddance to those traitors" Zuko says bitterly.

"It's a lovely night for a walk. Why don't you join Kiri and I? It would clear your head" dad suggests.

"I know it's clear mine, besides Miko deserves to get off the ship" I state as Miko chatters happily on my shoulder. Zuko says nothing and I look at my father sadly.

"Or just stay in your room and sit in the dark. Whatever makes you happy" dad tells him. We left Zuko and left the ship. We started to walk along the docks.

"Do you think they have a nice tea shop around here?" I ask him.

"Only one way to find out" he tells me with a smile. Suddenly we hear an explosion and turn to see our ship in flames. "Zuko!" we shout and race to it.

"Zuko" I cry as tears fill my eyes.

"Wait here" father tells me and heads towards the shore. He finds Zuko alive, but hurt. We tended to his wounds. We came up with a plan to capture the avatar. Father and I would pretend to join Zhao's mission. While Zuko posed as a soldier. Once Zhao attacks the northern water tribe Zuko will sneak in and grab the avatar.

We reached Zhao's ship and he greets us. I'm holding Miko close. He took us to his office where we're served tea. "I'm devastated to hear about Prince Zuko. Just ... devastated" he lies.

"The Fire Lord will not be pleased when he learns who was responsible" father states.

"You know who was behind the attack?" Zhao asks.

"Yes ... pirates. We had a run-in with them a while back. They wanted revenge" Father states. Pirates Zhao paid to destroy our ship. Zhao takes a sip of his tea.

"So, have you reconsidered my offer?" he asks us.

"Yes, we accept. It will be an honor to serve as your general" father tells him.

"What of you princess Kiri?" Zhao asks me and I say nothing.

"She has not said a word since the accident" father tells him. He holds up his tea cup. "To the Fire Nation" he says.

"To victory" Zhao says raising his cup and they finish their tea. Father and I then left the room with Miko. We soon go somewhere quiet where we meet Zuko.

"Our plan is working perfectly. Zhao doesn't suspect a thing" father tells him in a hushed tone.

"You both didn't have to do this" he tells us.

"No nephew of mine is going to stow away on a ship without some backup" father tells him. "Besides Kiri would not talk to me if I let you do this alone" he states. I nod my head in agreement. Zuko thanks us both and Miko appears.

"Someones coming" I say lowly.

"Stay hidden until we get to the North Pole and the Avatar will be yours. Good luck" father tells Zuko. Who put his mask back on and we went our separate ways. Father and I go to the helm.

"My fleet is ready. Set a course for the Northern Water Tribe" Zhao orders as we arrived. No going back now. Good luck Zuko.
