Chapter 24 - I Hate You

Author P.O.V

They settle down on Hongjoong's bed. Hongjoong is currently hugging Seonghwa. They're playing with their phone while chatting and cuddling.

"Hey look at this." Seonghwa shows a selca he takes at Mount Fuji. "When is this?" Hongjoong asks not sounding interested. He can't help his speaking tone but he is still interested. "Last year," Seonghwa said. He thinks that Hongjoong is not interested in it. Instead, he shows another picture of him with his sister climbing a tree when they were still little. "Who is this?" Hongjoong asks with a low tone. Again makes Seonghwa feel he isn't interested. "It's me and my sis when we're little," Seonghwa said trying not to be mad. "Oh, you two look cute," he said while ruffling his boyfriend's hair.

Hongjoong looks at his phone and plays with it. Seonghwa feels like water is boiling in his body. He feels like he wants to erupt like a volcano. He sits up and looks at Hongjoong. His head is full of negativity that he wants to erupt at Hongjoong. He hates Hongjoong being heartless. He hates him for being emotionless. He hates being quiet all the time. These are just a few things Seonghwa hate about him. He has more on his list that he wants Hongjoong to change as soon as possible.

"Don't do this," Seonghwa said and Hongjoong made a confused face. "Do what?" Hongjoong said in confusion but still had a smile on his face. "You're too heartless," Seonghwa said. "I know but-" Hongjoong said being cut by him. He felt shocked, a sudden attack from him to be mad at him. He has a lot of questions wondering in his mind. "I hate you." Seonghwa raised his voice. "What are you-" he said after being stabbed with his words. "No one loves you." Seonghwa continued making Hongjoong hurt more. "I-" Hongjoong is cut off again. "You can't be in love," Seonghwa said making Hongjoong hold back his tears. "I knew it," Hongjoong said while looking down at his hands. "Goodbye," Seonghwa said while taking his stuff before walking off to the door. "Please tell me what is my fault. I will fix it." Hongjoong said while chasing him. Seonghwa turned around and looked at the younger with anger in his face. "The problem is you are too heartless. I want you to change that. Don't you ever look back for me until you are not heartless? If you become not heartless, I will think about it first." Seonghwa explains while storming out of the house.

Hongjoong P.O.V

All of this is my fault. I make myself heartless. I take his love just for myself. I love him just for his love. I ruffle my hair in frustration. I should not be in love with anyone. I should be alone forever. I should not let myself be with other people. My world is just me alone.

I got in my room and slammed the door shut. I get to my bed and hug my pillow. I cry on it. I can't make myself not heartless. I was already born like this. Why am I the only one who got this wrong? The thing is love.

My head is full of negativity and frustration. Suddenly, someone knocked on my door. I don't care who it is. I just want to be with myself.

"Hongjoong! Open this door." that is Jinwoo's voice. I forgot that he was home.
"Please Hongjoong!" and that's Seunghyun's voice with a knock on my door. "Don't do like this. Open up Hongjoong." Jinwoo said with a motherly sound.

I walk to the door and open it. Jinwoo hugged me after seeing me. He didn't say anything but his hug was warm making me feel better. Seunghyun also joined the hug. It's like a family hug that can comfort each other. We stay like this for a few minutes. Then Jinwoo broke the hug and asked me to sit on my bed. He sits at my right side and Seunghyun sits at my left side.

"I know it's hard but you should let him be alone for a while," Jinwoo said. He's right. He is always right. "What should I do now?" I ask looking down at my feet.
"Just take your time and think about it yourself," Jinwoo said while Seunghyun comforted me. "You need to find the answer yourself. You can do it." he continued. "But how," I ask back.
"You should think about it too," he said.
"World is hard," Seunghyun said and Jinwoo slapped him hard on the shoulder.
