JUNKAI POV

I was peacefully working on tasks, as suddenly my phone lit up. I took it out and saw that it was my mother who rang me up. I picked up the phone where I got embraced with nothing but white noise.

"Hello?" My voice rang in the call with no response. Though, the moment I wanted to place down my phone, a voice replied.

"Come to the *** restaurant around dinner time. Don't be late."

The call got hung up, as the next moment I received a message saying dress nicely.

I did not even need to think twice, as I knew it was from my mom. Typical, I would say. When she wanted something from us, she would use her demanding voice - compared to her usual sweet voice.

I overheard my parents mentioning about a marriage a few days ago, so I got my information. Sadly, I did not get to pursue the dream I had myself. I wanted to encounter the sweet girl in school. She was a grade below me, but she seemed to be quite cute. Her facial expression when she was with her friends and not to mention her somewhat cute face she had when she saw food. The glint in her eyes. The smile.

If you were wondering her name, then I would say I did not know. I never got the chance to talk to her, though I have bumped into her quite often around the campus.

My mind wandered around the thought of her. I wished to meet her right here and now, though I knew it was not possible. At least I hoped the girl I was going to marry was her. I hoped.

I went up from my seat and went to my room to find some fittable clothes for the event. I needed to look presentable, even though I did not stand in for the marriage. I found my plain shirt and hoodie to top off my outfit. My jeans were perfect for my attire. Everything fit perfectly. I wore my sneakers and found my phone and cards before I left. I wanted to arrive there early to take a stroll around the area to buy something to drink before I arrived at the restaurant.

As I opened my door, I got met by an unexpected guest - also known as my friend Qian Xi. He smiled cheekily at me as he scanned me from top to toe. Slowly, a smirk crept up his face.

"Where are you going?" He smirked at me. He probably knew where I was going since he came by just now, but why bother asking him.

"Oh! You are probably wondering why I am here?" He continued, "I was just wondering why you weren't answering my class, but I see the reason now."

He continued smirking and patted me on my shoulder as he left again. What a strange friend I have, I thought.

When I walked near the restaurant, I saw her. She was standing there while looking up at the restaurant sign. Her profile looked perfect. Just perfect. Her outfit was cute as well. My eyes were pleased.

I walked up to her but as clumsy as I was, I accidentally bumped into her. Luckily, I grabbed her before she fell, but that was embarrassing done by me. I could not stop scolding myself over the small mistake I made.

When I got her stabilized, I went inside before anything else would happen. I could not take more as of now. I walked past her and went to my seat beside my parents. A moment after, she trailed behind me and went to her seat beside her parents. Sadly, she did not spare me a glimt. Why though? Did I do anything wrong, I thought. I felt sad.

Eventually, we introduced ourselves to each other. I could not believe my crush had a name this beautiful. Y/n, the name sounded sweet and fit her perfectly.
