~Dead memories in my heart~
SlipknotThe little girl skipped down the stairs with three older boys following her close behind. Her tiny feet and chubby legs dragged her to the living room where her grandfather was, watching TV.
"Gwanpa gwanpa!!" she yelped, crawling towards the old man, whose name was Angelo.
"What happened, mio neonata?" Angelo picked up his granddaughter and placed her on his knees, pouncing the giggling baby up and down. (My little girl)
"Niah, niah!" the little girl pointed at the three panting guys in the corner of the room.
The old man laughed at them. His grandchildren were his happiness and when they were having fun, he was too.
"Grandpa give us the princess, she needs to learn how to not steal our choco" nine-year-old Chris playfully growled to his one-year-old little sister, making her giggle more.
"Oh no! La mia principessa è in pericolo! I have to save her!" Angelo played along with them, grabbing the baby from his lap, and started pacing fastly all around the room, making it look like he was running away from the boys who were running behind him. (My little princess is in danger!)
"Gwanpa! Fast!" the little girl semi-giggled semi-yelled as she was being chased by three of her older brothers.
Cole and the twins were taking their usual nap, as they were only four and three years old, but Nefeli. Well, Nefeli was a whole another story. She was a too energetic baby who was barely taking naps during the day.
"Noooo, we have to steal the baby princess!" Noah yelled as they were chasing Nef and Angelo all around the room.
The girl was giggling her heart off as she was watching her brothers running after them and as she was bouncing up and down on her grandfather's grip.
Their parents were out of town for some business they had again, so the seven kids were left with their grandfather to take care of them. And if they wanted to be honest, it was some of the best days of their lives.
That was until the old man collapsed onto the couch exhausted from all the running, but he decided to play along some more.
"Aaaaah, the knight is tired, the princess is at the evil wizards' mercy!" and with a swift movement, he held Nef above his head, making her look like an airplane before he places it on her Aiden's grip, making her scream.
"I have the princess, I have the princess!" the eight-year-old Aiden spun his little sister around, earning more giggles in return.
The next thing which could echo the room was her hysterical laughter as her brothers were tickling poor Nef's sides and feet, knowing from experience that they were her worst spots.
I opened my eyes and I was met with something I could not understand. I would usually be met with my nice, warm white ceiling with the nice stars which were painted on it, wrapped around my comfortable covers, and one of my brothers waking me up sweetly. Now I was met with a grey, cold ceiling, wrapped around a thin blanket, on a hospital bed, alone.
Hospital.
I heard the sound of the machines next to me as I could feel the oximeter on my left index finger and liquid rushing through my body through a thin needle on my right arm, on the veins.
'Ughhh, what happened' I wondered, feeling my head heavy like a rock and numb.
Suddenly the events of last night came like a tornado in my mind.
