'Twas the night before Christmas,
when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
She sat awake that Christmas night,
Hoping St. Nicholas had been there with all her might;
Though she knew she had been bad,
The thought of not receiving anything made her sad;
Octavia stood, her eyes filled with glee,
As she waited, staring at the glistening Christmas tree;
The twinkling lights that shone so brightly,
Made her night a little less glumy; to
The thought of spending Christmas with her family filled her with joy,
It made her look forward to a Christmas she would enjoy.
