"(Y/N/N), you good?"
Y/N looked to the side, her eyes picking up from her plate in front of her, no food gone as she stared at it blankly for a moment. She looked to her side, Sofia shooting her a concerned look. The girl furrowed her eyebrows together as she nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
Sofia looked at her skeptically, knowing that there was a lie somewhere in her words. Y/N only sent her a small smile.
"Seriously," she said, Sofia only sighed as she turned back to talk to Harry and Brianne. Y/N turned back to her food, her mind racing once more.
It had been exactly two weeks since her and Hermione's moment in the ballroom, Y/N's feelings for the bushy-haired girl being confirmed. The girl had no problem with going with her friends to the dance, rather the idea of seeing Hermione with someone else.
Ever since Y/N figured out her feelings, she's dreaded seeing Hermione walk into the Ball with someone else, knowing her jealousy would be at an all time high. She just tried to push the thought away.
Y/N sat in between Sofia and Karan, the rest of their friends surrounding her. They took up a good portion of the table, seeing as though there was ten of them. She didn't utter a word however, the girl being silent most of dinner. Karan saw this and nudged her shoulder.
"What's up, you're never this quiet."
Y/N softly laughed with a small smile, "Nothing just..."
