coffee and rain is a grand favorite

with the music playing softly around,

stare at the frosty window, i took a sip

all the sudden, everything came back to me

a beautiful smile spread on your red lips,

smeared in my favorite white mug,

while you talk about things like your family,

the whole time i was staring at those eyes

you ask me how i was, i remember

crying in the halls when i'm with you,

we pour coffee and watch the rain outside

"this is better," that's what you said

it used to feel like i'm wrapped in a warm blanket

when we used to talk about our craziest moments,

how can one forget? you remembered what i said,

in the couch, there we almost kissed

it's been some time since i last saw you,

couldn't catch up, couldn't bring it up, my feet are frozen

no words to say, ever since you left me

with coffee and rain with the memories

it was like you were wrapped in a warm blanket

when you and i used to share our moments,

how one can forget? i'm sure no one does

in the couch, i sit and watch the rain go by
