poem#5: little

before i go to bed in my pajamas,

you'd tell me a story from outside

the world was big and wide, and you said you didn't lie

where everything was good and life was fine

i was only little but i was eager to know

what this wonderful world has to show

the good outlawed the evil, and i was so little

in my feet, i wish i was tall enough to see

how i wish i remained little,

kept dreaming princesses and heroes

the worries and anxieties,

all piled in place,

even my once-bright smile looked so fake

i guess we both grew up to fast

tell me a tale of the clouds and rivers,

singing in my bed until i could drift to sleep

running and hitting in flower gardens instead of teenage problems,

wish i could hug my pillow so tight until i dream tonight

the life i have now, is different from before

but i'm still walking and looking for the good ones i believed

my heart remembers what it feels to be like a child

so little but so ever bright...
