Erity watched as the boy's exchange the same encouragement from one another, all impressed with how brilliant and powerful their ace was. Asahi was a powerful, striking opponent, he'll definitely be a great asset to the team.
"Wow, amazing!" Takeda gushed. "The blockers hit back the ball! And then when I realized that Nishinoya~kun was already under it! Wow, what a surprise!"
Erity giggled at the teacher, finding it hilarious on how he was praising Nishinoya saving the blocked ball. "If we can recover balls that been blocked, then there's nothing to fear!"
"What're you saying?" Keishin asked, "there's no way they can recover it like that every time. In that short 2-3 meter distance, it's impossible to predict where a ball moving at 100 kph or faster will fall. That's why ya can't recover them all."
"That's true," Erity added. "When a spiker hits the ball into a three-person block and then the ball gets thrown at you again, it's hard to recover from that. That's why it takes time to learn how to predict where the ball is going next, it depends on the person, but that sort of trick can take years to master, if you have good analyzation skills, then it might be easier."
Keishin continued to explain, "It's important to understand that if the ball is blocked that's the end of it, isn't necessarily true. The feeling is completely different depending on whether or not you know you have comrades behind you."
"I see," the club advisor said, now understanding what both the coaches were explaining to him.
After listening to the two adults for awhile, she glanced back over to the court on the yellow team's side, only for a short minute her eyes landed on the tangerine who looked to be deep in thought.
"He blew right through Kageyama, Tsukishima, and Tanaka~San...so that's the ace." He was practically mesmerized by Asahi's spike, his strength was something Hinata could admire, and how he could break through a three-man block like just now, that was something he craved to be able to do.
He longed to reach high enough to see the view from the other side of the net, the summit. His height was something he tried to look past, in order for him to be a spiker with his height, he would have to jump high enough to reach past the blockers.
"Oi!" A voice shouted, interrupting Hinata's thoughts, "you kept going on about how you wanted to see the ace, so don't get scared now!" The voice belonged to Kageyama.
"I-I'm not scared!" Hinata denied. "I don't have that sort of height or power but, I can still fight! Next up, it's our turn!"
There going to do another quick-attack, Erity thought, it's only a matter of time until they do another one.
And sure enough, the first-year duo managed to do another quick-attack, shocking the older Karasuno alumni yet again. By now, they probably realized that none of it was some sort of fluke, but rather, more expected. This was the time the opponents kept their watchful eyes on Hinata, now using this as a chance to use the greatest decoy.
The score was now 7-6 with the KNAT in the lead. The boys cheered after earning the point. Erity congratulated the freak duo on their amazing attack, the boy's beaming at her kind words.
"OOI!" Keishin's booming voice was heard beside the young girl, pointing at the two first-years, "why'd you jump there just now, shorty!"
"That's a lame nickname...giving the poor boy a reminder of his short height is rude." Erity mumbled to herself, speaking loud enough for the younger Ukai to hear.
He shrugged the comment off as he waited for the short boy to answer his question, "be-because the toss will come to me wherever I am."
"What the heck! Are you guys weirdos!"
