Tommy looked down over the lava, not hearing the footsteps behind him

"It's not your time, Tommy, it never is."

He glanced back at Dream and nodded "Yeah, yeah. It never is" he said

"Come on, Tommy," the masked man said, leading Tommy away from the lava and through the portal back to his Logstedshire. Wilbur stood waiting for him holding some 'blue' for him. Wilbur waved excitedly and ran to hug Tommy, momentarily forgetting that he couldn't.

"Tommy!" He yelled excited

Dream just nudged him with his pickaxe "Keep going" he said sternly

----------

"Will, I can't do it anymore" Tommy mumbled holding his head in his hands. Elbows resting on his knees as he sat next to the 'prime log'

The ghost stood there, a bit puzzled "I don't know what you mean?"

Tommy looked at him "I can't handle this bullshit of a life anymore, Wilbur!" He yelled

Wilbur nodded, "I understand now," he said quietly, trying to gather up words to stop him

"Fuck this!" He yelled standing and going towards the portal. Wilbur followed quickly behind

"Tommy-" he yelled trying to keep up.

The blonde ignored him and went through the portal, Wilbur following close behind.

When Wilbur got to the Nether, Tommy was stood staring down at the lava.

"It was never meant to be," he said turning to face Wilbur. Wilbur stood silent, watching the 16-year-old. "Take care of Toby for me," he said before taking a step back and falling slowly into the lava

Time seemed to slow as Wilbur watched the boy fall back towards the lava. He couldn't do anything. It felt like hours until he heard the pained scream of Tommy.

He didn't dare look, but he couldn't help himself. He leaned to look over the edge. There was Tommy, submerged mostly in lava, screaming. How he wanted to jump in and save him. But he couldn't. Not having a mortal form he couldn't do anything. He watched in horror as Tommy sunk lower in the lava, screaming louder and flailing more.

Just before his head went under the surface "Thank you, Wilbur" he yelled

TommyInnit tried to swim in lava

-----------

Wilbur was able to salvage his mangled burned corpse.

"Tommy…" he said looking at the body

He knew he'd see him anyway, being a ghost. But he'd have to go tell Tubbo. His job now was to protect Tubbo, as Tommy had requested. He set off to go tell the young boy
