Chapter 14

At some point we got a call from Perry saying Leo got hurt, Davenport and I weren't allowed to leave so we told Tasha to go and contact my Mom when she got there to help them

But to be truthful? I was terrified, Leo was hurt and there was nothing I could do to help

Everything was just bubbling up in fury beneath me and I wanted nothing more than to help

"Agent Graham you have to let us go to the hospital to see Leo," Chase pleaded

"We don't even know what happened to him," I added

"He's injured and this isn't funny like all the times I hurt Chase," Adam said

"You're not going anywhere. Military transport will be here any second, you've seen the last of your friend and each other," Agent Graham spoke

"Agent Graham, please don't take them, take me! I'm obviouslly the brilliant master mind, the brains behind the brawn, the smart behind the heart," Davenport said

"Even when he's begging he finds a way to gloat," Bree said and I nodded

"Go ahead ask me anything, I bet you're wondering how a 43 year old continues to defy father time,"Davenport bragged

"This is happening wether you like it or not. And for the record father time caught up to you long before we did," Agent Graham said and Davenport's face was priceless

"Transport's here," Agent Graham said walking through the door

"Shotgun!" Adam exclaimed only to get tackled to the ground by one of the guys

"You know, every now and then life gives you a little gift," Chase said

"Hurry up and say your goodbyes," Agent Graham ordered

"I can't believe this. We're never going to see eachother again," Bree said

"Guys you're going to be okay," Davenport reassured

"You don't know that," Chase said

"I know that's just something you say. What do you want me to say? You're doomed? Obviously they're going to conduct experiments on you," Davenport said giving us a visual

"Okay we get it," Bree said startled

"Dispute that," I butt in, glancing at all of them sadly, "I will do everything I can to bring you guys home. I promise."

"I'm gonna miss you so much," Chase frowned, I frowned and gently grabbed his hand

"I'm gonna miss you to," I frowned, holding back tears

"Thank you for everything Scarlett," Bree began

"Bree—"

"Please... this might be the last time we see each other for a while," Bree frowned, "Thank you for being my best friend."

"Yeah, no one has shown us more about high school and being normal than you," Adam added

"What about Leo?"

"Let's be honest, Leo's more abnormal than us," Chase spoke, I cracked a small smile

"Well, then I'm glad I could give you a somewhat normal experience while it lasted," I spoke

"And I know I didn't give you guys a normal childhood but I hope I at least gave you a happy one," Davenport added

"Of course you did," Chase said

"Yeah I can't imagine having a better dad," Bree said.

"Oh I can, the guy that is half Tom Brady half golden retriever, I call him golden Brady," Adam said
