Raven Queen looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes their usual piercing purple hue, but they were dulled with fear. She was transferring to ever after high after an incident nearly got her and one of her closest friends, an omega named Cerise, killed. Raven was a lesbian, and only Cerise knew about her secret, but somehow it got out at her old school, and the alpha feared for her life as she felt that her pack wouldn't want her to be a leader if they found out. The alpha's fear showed as the soul mark on her chest right above her heart burned like a red hot branding iron.

Whimpers of pain caught the ears of Cerise, who was in the woods outside Raven's home. "Raven?" Cerise asked herself. She walked to the alpha's home. As she knocked on Raven's door, she smelled something burning (soul marks burn if the alpha and omega share the same emotions/experiences). As Cerise heard a small "Come in, Cerise." She made her way up to Raven's bedroom and saw the alpha on the floor shaking. The purple in Raven's hair faded as the girl shifted into a large black wolf as fear took over her friend.
