Hiding with You (Five Nights At Freddy's Male Reader Fanfic)

Just me and you

(Y/N) POV

We were silent as another day and night passed with no outside noise. I think we were just tired and went to sleep for day and night

At about 1 pm Rob gets up to leave

"Be safe," Mia says as I eye the door as Rob leaves

"Cya," he says as the door gets shut. Mia locks the door as she sits back down

"How's your leg doing?" She asks

"Good enough considering the circumstances," I mutter, my leg hurt but I muffled my pain so that I wouldn't worry her too much

"You know, this was the last thing I was expecting when I came into town," She says

"Staying overnight at Freddie's as the animals I adored as a kid chased me around trying to kill me," she adds

"Certainly wasn't what I was expecting when I woke up that morning," I say

"So when did you move here?" She asks

"A year or two ago," I say as she nods in the darkness as silence once again takes its hold.

Perhaps we were waiting for Rob to return...or maybe we were waiting for a scream indicating that they got him. My ankle started feeling numb and it quickly lost its feeling (quick disclaimer, I've never broken an ankle so I don't know the accuracy of my description, either way, your rolling with it :)

"I hope he gets back safe," Mia says as she breaks the long silence

"Yea," I quietly agree

"What time is it?" I ask as the dark lights up a bit as I turn the light on. I guess I forgot about the flashlight I had. I guess I'm uncomfortable with the thought that it might leak out through the door. But the door was sealed firmly, I don't think any light could escape

"Already 10 pm," I say as Mia nods.

"It's nice being able to see something other than darkness," she says as I realize we haven't truly looked at each other with light since we found out that they were active even during the day.

"Yea," I mutter as we look at each other.

Her black hair was fizzed from running around so much without much care taken to it. As for her face was dirty even though we weren't doing anything that would get it dirty

She starts blushing as I realize I was staring

"Sorry," I apologize as I look away

"It's fine, seeing a face that isn't an animal is welcoming," she adds as I shut the light off to save battery...not that I think we will need it

"I suppose one of us should always be up for when he returns," I say

"Yea, it would suck if he returned and we couldn't unlatch the lock," she adds as I nod

I was about to say something when outside the door erupted in loud footsteps...it wasn't Rob's

We stayed silent as the loud bangs of the creature's footsteps erupted the room outside. It stayed for 45 minutes pacing...as if it was making its presence known to anyone who might be hiding...and it was, me and Mia stayed on edge the whole time

After the footsteps stopped, I can hear Mia shuffling around. I almost jumped as I felt her shoulder against mine

"I feel safer here," she adds as I remain silent

"I think you'd feel safer if you weren't in this place, to begin with," I say as a quiet cute giggle erupts from her

"If I'm being honest I wouldn't be so sure," She says

"I think Dennis deserves a nice knuckle sandwich when I get out," I say as she nods

"And that bitch Hanna needs to be left in a stable for a couple nights," Mia says in an oddly irregular voice...I don't think I've heard her voice with a hint of any anger so far.

"What did she do?" I ask as I'm confused. And the fact that I have a massive crush on her doesn't help my curiosity.

"She literally dragged me away from my mom's car, all so that she could leave me in here," Mia says

"I'm sure it wasn't like that," I say as I attempt to defend her

"She's always been like that, thinking she's the cream of the crop," Mia adds as I open my mind a bit...I mean, it's kinda true. She does act like a stereotypical diva all the time. The more I think about it, the more I realize that she isn't the perfect angel I thought she was

"And she charms guys into doing whatever she wants," Mia says

"And her boyfriend Dennis doesn't help either," she adds

"Boyfriend?" I ask surprised

"You didn't know? Considering you're closer to them then I am, I'd expect you would see them making out at least once," she's says

"First thing they did when they were with me was kiss...and Hanna made the sliest smile that just says, "I have and you don't," I just can't express my disliking toward her enough," Mia finishes her rant

"Great friend I have," I say I have always thought of Dennis as a good friend. At least he could have told me they were together...after all, he knew I liked Hanna...but not anymore. I guess everyone has two sides to a coin

"Sorry...I forgot you said you were friends," Mia says returning her usual tone

"It's all good...I guess I coulda done better on the friend department," I say

"Hurricane doesn't offer much," She jokes as I laugh

"I guess so," I add

"He's been gone a while," Mia says referring to Rob

"I haven't heard any struggles...but I guess you never know how quiet those things can be," I say

"And even if they did capture him...I don't think we could do much about it," I say as she nods

"I guess...but I still think we should look," She says

"I think we should wait till the day. Maybe he will come back during the night," I say as I postpone our search

I think we both knew he wasn't coming back...that it would be pointless to look. But perhaps we only said we were gonna rescue him so that we wouldn't be alienated for not looking for him.

Either way, the night passed quickly. And I dreaded the moment that we left the safety of the hidden room.

Mia was content looking for him...and for the life of me, I wouldn't let her go alone. My ankle was pulsing with pain as I walked with her. But the thought of leaving her to look by herself actually scared me...or maybe I was scared of being left behind.

I don't think anything could brace us for the mix of emotions that would consume us in the next few hours
