Mirabel had since recovered from her coma and was growing stronger everyday powered by the magic that had chosen her to wield it and created a new candle to store magic just in case. No one knew what she had known a year ago and she planned to take that secret to the grave and focus on the future of her family. But when the future arrives with problems, secrets, and PTSD galore is Mirabel really ready for the responsibility that comes with the magic, the expectations everyone holds for her? You just moved to the village and honestly, you loved it there. But then, things start happening. Not necessarily bad things but they sure weren't what you expected. !The reader has glasses! since there aren't many stories and I think glasses should be an insecurity no more so I plan to make people see glasses differently. A 15 year-old girl who lives a shallow, and dark life, and a boy who lives in a kaleidoscopic and intoxicating delight met; slowly, they unraveled things beyond the agonizing retribution and soul-crushing legacy. The 'wealthy' family had sternly decided to leave the Philippines and move to Colombia. The family's matriarch, whom the Madrigal's matriarch's acquaintance, will finally meet again after a long period of time. This story is a magical realism that takes place in the early 1950s, with a sense of the author's personal experiences.
