Hiccup went missing six years ago, and was presumed dead. The only person who knew different was Astrid, but letting them believe she was dead was kinder than the alternative. At least then she got a proper warrior's burial. The last thing she expected was for the latest voyage to return with a night fury on its ship, and a woman tied up next to it. Ever since she had left the island, Hiccup had traveled the northern world studying new dragons and discovering new lands. She had become a legend, a supposed Dragon Master. Six years later, she is just out on a flight when she is shot down by none other than her old family; Berk Voyagers.

Hiccup and his friends Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut and Tuffnut along with their dragons Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch are now flying around the archipelago looking for new species of dragons and fighting Viggo and Ryker. When dragons start fleeing, ships begin to sink, hunters begin to drop like flies and Viggo starts to be more cautious what'll the dragon riders do with the unidentified species? What'll Y/n do when they receive a bounty?

Based in RTTE but before HTTYD 2, And Hiccup and Astrid aren't a thing.

Through brains, talent and hard work, he managed to rise through their ranks. He is known as the Night Fury. ~ Stoick has lost too much to the Assassins' Court. As the leader of the Guardians of Peace, the lives of every person killed by the Night Fury rest on his shoulders. Finally, he becomes desperate. He sends five agents to infiltrate the Court to kidnap the Night Fury. ~ Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut have no idea what they're walking in to. Because little do they know that Hiccup knows exactly who they are.

A massive storm comes out of nowhere one day, sucking the dragon riders in and taking then far from home. They wake up on an odd island that they've never seen before. But the deeper they travel into it's forests, the more they realize this is no regular land. Things that should never be possible start happening, and they soon find themselves in a desperate fight for survival. And no matter what they try, there doesn't seem to be a way off the cursed island. It isn't until they meet a strange girl with a strange name that things start to take a turn for the better. Love begins to blossom in the land where anything is possible. Will they make it off the island? Or are their fates sealed? The longer they're trapped, the more they learn. This island is not what it seems. And this strange girl is more than she appears to be. Little bit of creep factor, lots of character development in the beginning. The love interest starts a little later into the story (chp. 9 or 10).
