Ksenija Selan is a troubled eighteen-year-old living a dull life that consists of her attempts to escape the chains of her adverse experiences. The aims to cope with her long-term struggles with mental health while discovering herself are challenging tasks she doesn't know how to tackle.

Upon losing all hope, her sister is there to save the day, and with her encouragement, Ksenija finally commences her path to recovery. Alas, her life takes a drastic turn - for better or worse - upon being matched with a riveting older man she least expected to introduce himself as her psychiatrist.

From there, she begins to uncover a world she's never known before as she soon finds herself entangled in newfound illicit love. Ensnared by her fixation, she undertakes it to make things work her way, which may include seducing the forbidden man and ultimately getting more than she bargained for.
