When Magnus loses teeth, he receives detailed accounts of the world of his tooth fairy, Tobias. Through their correspondence, Magnus learns about habits he can discard in his lost teeth as well as the curse of Mordvor which renders the fairies in Tobias' world inert. As the curse of Mordvor intensifies, the lines between Tobias' fairy world, and Magnus' world blur. Will Tobias wake the fairies? Can Magnus keep the worlds separate using his imagination? Or will Po, the onyx fur-feather pour greed through both worlds and destroy them both?
