"The liberation of the working class must be the work of the working class itself. So, we cannot go along with people who openly say that the workers are too uneducated to liberate themselves and must first be liberated from above, by philanthropic bourgeoisie and petty bourgeoisie." - Karl Marx, 1879 "The Caribbean back in the 18th century was a soft drug producer: sugar, rum, tobacco, chocolate. And in order to do it, they had to enslave Africans, and it was done largely to pacify working people in England who were being driven into awful circumstances by the early industrial revolution. That's why so many wars took place around the Caribbean." - Noam Chomsky, 2002 It is the year 2026. The USA is doomed. Civil unrest is spreading from the West Coast to the East Coast. From the north to the south. What exactly the goal is, no one knows, but everyone does know: things can't go on like this any more. In the midst of all the chaos, a group of young anarchists find themselves in trouble. The police, the FBI and the CIA, as well as far-right and nationalist militant groups, are hunting them down. Things had come to such a head that the group decided to flee. By sea, on a stolen US Navy warship, they made their way to the Caribbean. What awaits them there, however, and what kind of supernatural scenario this journey will bring them into, none of them could ever have predicted. ### This is a fan fiction of Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag by Ubisoft. It includes characters and events from the game, as well as characters and events of my own devising. This work does NOT follow the actual storyline of the game, but is set in the same universe. My ideas are unfortunately not 100% compatible with the actual storyline of the game. This work is in partial collaboration with itsLumay. They were kind enough to provide me with some of their own invented characters. You can read more about this on the first page of the book.
