"Hey, killer," he said lowly, only for me.
I rolled my eyes, typing, 'I really think that nickname is misplaced', and turned the screen for him to see. Plucking the phone straight out of my hands, I watched Dean type quickly before handing it back to me.
'Why's that? I think it more than fits,' I read.
Huffing, I typed, 'I get it I tried to punch you ONE TIME, but do I look like I could kill someone?' I felt him move close to my side to read as I went. I tried to ignore how my heart kicked up its tempo at his nearness and raised my eyebrows at him to accentuate my question.
"That's not it at all," he chuckled lightly. I gave him a confused look.
He leaned in close, breath tickling my ear as he spoke in his deep, husky tones, "Ask me again when we're alone and I'll tell you exactly what I mean, little killer."

Emilia Richards has probably never been described as 'outgoing' before in her entire life. Even without the unfortunate reality of her being mute, she'd do her best to cling to the shadows. She likes it when people leave her alone, so she's spared having to deal with the questions, with people's entitlement to know why.
Dean Turner has probably never been described as 'outgoing' either, but mostly because people are too afraid to describe him at all. He likes it when people leave him alone. He's just looking for some peace and fucking quiet, is that too much to ask?
She makes no noise, and he has no questions...for now
