People often use the phrase "I don't see color" when trying to describe how they see and treat people equally. A common saying when battling discrimination and injustice. Little do they know, that phrase is one of the most ignorant towards inequality. Social creatures, like humans, should learn to acknowledge and address the differences within each other so that we may understand them and combat those that intentionally cause harm to those they find "weird." This story is about Malachi Smith, a young black man, and Jesse Adams, a young white man. Two opposite-minded individuals who couldn't be any more different overcoming boundaries and learning to accept each other's worlds. This depiction of fiction is a representation of real life, drawing parallels from social injustices, Black Lives Matter, racism and discrimination, bigotry, hatred, and intentional division between friends and family alike. Will Malachi and Jesse's relationship survive to tell the tales? Or will the foundation of society tear them apart and see them back to where they come from?
