A proper second-class lady called Lady Lillian Buford is traveling aboard the RMS Titanic along with her brother Robert and his fiancé Margaret. Aboard she meets Dorothy, who works for an elder duchess on her way to her wealthy husband in America. Dorothy used to be close to the duchess's son before he died of an unknown disease. She has a feeling the duchess blames her for his death, and plans to get rid of her and the working-contract she forged with her son. But who would even care for her disappearance? A series of unfortunate events lead up to Lillian and Dorothy meeting in peculiar conditions and them developing a special bond. Next to the pressure of Society and the constant danger that threatens Dorothy's life, what more could go wrong?
