All you wanted was a stress-free day with your best friend at the mall. Was that too much to ask?

Apparently so, for fate and love had other ideas.
You are bound to him by a freak accident in a moment of serendipity.
His rings snag your lace sleeve, but there is a bigger problem. You're going down the escalator while he is going up.

You both are focused on getting his ring and your lace sleeve untangled. You don't get a chance to look at each other. His hair covers his face from your view, and your long, silky hair blocks his view of your face as you hurriedly try to free yourselves before injury occurs.

Desperately trying to protect you from people bumping and pushing as they hurry by you on the escalator, he grabs you in his arms, lifting you over to his side before you are hurt. His heart races not out of fear but out of how perfectly you fit in his arms, just like someone else used to. The familiarity is so strong. Could you be . . . her?
